25.01.2022 This is what it looks like getting married amidst COVID-19 restrictions! Sophi & Fraser were due to get married infront of 120 guests today, and after many revisions to their wedding plans, this is how it ended up... 2 witnesses, a photographer & me (shh that’s 6) and 80 guests streaming in live on Facebook. I turned their ceremony into an elopement feel while acknowledging the beautiful presence of all their friends and family in different ways during their ceremony. ... Like so many couples, Sophie & Fraser have had a tough few weeks resetting their wedding expectations, but they were absolute troopers taking every curve ball in their stride. They felt really connected to their date and it was important for them to be married in these crazy times... as none of us really know what’s coming, it’s an energetic shift and rite of passage that is so powerful. Streaming a ceremony live, and holding a party later (like on your 1st anniversary) is a great solution amidst this chaos #justsaying

25.01.2022 Grateful to be acknowledged for my part in this big epically joyful wedding. Susie is a wonderful celebrant. Our ceremony was beautiful, joyful and down-to-earth, just as we wanted. All our family and friends loved it, as did we :) The months/weeks leading up to our Sep 2020 wedding were pretty tumultuous with Covid restrictions changing all the time. Susie was always such a calming presence and we knew she'd work with us to make it special no matter what we decided. Than...k you Susie" Thank you Beth’s & Adam @van.flix or@ azure_creative_photography ... Not sure who took this one

25.01.2022 So awesome to hang with these beautiful Ladies last week. I’m the lucky celebrant who’s going to be helping them get married next year and I’m VERY excited about it. . Katie and I meet when she was guiding the Larapinta trail that I walked 2 years ago. Back then she was with a man who was also on our tour. . Since then she has fallen madly & deeply in love with her long time friend Bergia ... and life for them together is just peachy.... . They have recently set up a new business @pittwater.eco.adventures which is going great because they’re an awesome team doing stuff they love... so abundance flows. . For their wedding they will be wearing silver & gold and I already know it’s going to be ridiculously beautiful See more

25.01.2022 Love in the time of ISO. What does it look like for you? Are there ‘s at the end of this tunnel? (See the last pic) . I’ve posted about this cool couple Sophi & Fraser before, how they had to recalibrate their reality from a big wedding (100+) to a tiny one (2 guests only) when Iso kicked in ... . It was bitter sweet, but they made the most of it... finding a beautiful farm house, that suited them so perfectly.. and streaming their ceremony live on FB for all their loved ones to see. . After a few friends mentioned seeing me on National TV yesterday, I was thrilled to see some segments of this wedding featured on the ABC breakfast. link in my profile. 24.01.2022 The ancestry equation.. ~ This weekend we went to Sydney to celebrate my mums 83rd birthday. It made her so happy ... and there were lots of golden moments like this one where she’s enjoying her morning tea out of my Aunty’s finest China with my daughter. ~ While being immersed in family and surrounded by my ancestors, I finally grabbed the opportunity to sit with each of them separately and get their oral history which is something I’ve wanted to do for years!... ~ Can I just say WOW!!! .. by taking the time and asking questions I wouldn’t usually think to ask, gleaned an understanding of my ancestry and heritage that I really had only a very small sense of. ~ I can thoroughly recommend it to get a better understanding of yourself & generational ‘stories’ ..or just to get a deeper understanding of your family before they leave their bodies. ~ Hit me up if you’d like me to forward you the questionnaire I used which was given to me by a historian and combines classical historical questions with Psychological ones to. #ancestory #familyhistory #familystories

24.01.2022 THE DEBRIEF Having a ‘moment’ with my couples post ceremony isn’t always something that happens. Sometimes they are so clearly engaged with their loved ones, I decide to exit stage left.. without feeling the need for that #celebrantselfie. My job is done . But in some cases it just happens naturally and it always feels so good to have that moment to debrief the ceremony.. the love, the tears, the laughs, the intensity.. whatever it was. Loving this moment doing just that wi...th a glass of French champagne and the incredibly gorgeous Kieta + Max Married at @victoriasbyronbay Photography @alli.studio Reception @beachbyronbay Hair and Makeup @georgiahullmakeup

24.01.2022 Excited to be heading back up to his most magical venue today to do an intimate elopement Like all of us in the wedding industry, I’m sooo missing the love buzz in my life ... and can’t wait for this arvo’s nuptials. 24.01.2022 Let’s do this! Happy solstice people.

23.01.2022 Feelin the warm & fuzzies to finally marry Jessica & Nathan on Saturday. ~ Covid’s clearly causing chaos again to well made plans all over the world. The best made wedding plans (and plans B and C) are being blown out of the ballpark. I’m feeling so much for everyone who’s being effected... especially the millions of people who are really starting to do it tough way beyond their wedding dreams I’m praying for the truth to prevail. ~... Amidst it all, it just feel so damn good to be celebrating love & marriage in small and humble ways, like here.. in one of my fav secret elopement locations.. where the emotions and elation still ran so high. It was just gawgeous. ~ #byronwedding #weddingcelebrant #byronbayweddingcelebrant #byronbaycelebrant #engagedcouple #byroncelebrant #byronbaywedding #covidwedding #loveinthetimeofcovid19

23.01.2022 Following our adventure bliss .. 1400km round trip to lightening ridge is such a fantastic family pilgrimage. I went there with my family when I was about 9... and will never forget my opal mine experience. We decided to take our kids for this memorable desert adventure and it was so Rich and wonderful ... my kids actually had the experience of finding their own opals deep in the earth. ... 23.01.2022 Happy days ahead for these two! Autumn weather turning on the sublime beach vibes today at Byron surf club. It was a funny moment when Matthew said in his vows.. completely accidentally... I take you, to be my awful wedded wife to hoard of laughter. ... He made sure to say lawful a few times just to make sure everyone knew it was a genuine mistake. @figtreepictures @alstonvillefloristweddings @byronweddingvine @eatdrinkevents @cherrychocolateblonde

21.01.2022 Superbly Simple, with a sense of unruliness and defiance. I’ve always loved these flowers and in a world going Mad, they speak to me joy, truth and goodness Thanks @_pikt

21.01.2022 This is what it looks like when your wedding plans change a million times, but in the end all that matters is that your married! Sophi & Fraser were due to get married infront of 120 guests last Saturday, and after many revisions and disappointments including a new last minute wet weather venue they embraced the moment and decided to stream their live ceremony on Facebook to all their loved ones who should have been with them. I turned their ceremony into an elopement feel w...hile at times acknowledging the emotional but not physical presence of all their friends and family. Like so many couples, Sophie & Fraser have had a tough few weeks resetting their wedding expectations, but they were absolute troopers taking every curve ball in their stride. It was important to them to be married in these crazy times... 21.01.2022 I’ve officially got a couple crush and have just smiled my way through these wedding shots... so hard to pick! ~ Edwina & Josh are superbly naughty & fun!! There was cheekiness and lots of banter during their ceremony.. and at a few moments I had to gently bring them back to the task at hand. ~... I’m thrilled they were so happy with my role in their day ... "We feel so lucky to have picked Susie. She was so in tune with the way we wanted our ceremony to run that we couldn’t be more grateful. From the very start Susie was easy going, organised and so easy to communicate with. She made our end of things super easy and gave us ample choices for the way our ceremony was to run. Thank you, from the bottom of our hearts for making our marriage just the way we imagined." 21.01.2022 MAURI MAGNETISM ~ Makenzie & Matua live on Magic Mountain in Miami and it’s a very special place to them... their first home together, a place they have conceived a booming business and more recently a child in and it’s a home where they will raise their child with the love and support of a close group of family and friends who were present at their ceremony on Friday. ~ Matua and Makenzie’s dad did the Haka together at the beginning of our ceremony as a beautiful ackno...wledgment of support, and then the couple shared an electric and much longer than usual kiss at the end. It was bloody awesome!!! ~ Hooray for Mr and Mrs Jansen See more

20.01.2022 LAUGHTER - its always a thrill to see photos of my couples laughing hard in their ceremony, it means that we have captured something poignant in their story and I’m sharing it well. Trudy and Alex met at a UK Garage gig..they clicked straight away, and for their first date Trudy was late.. not just late but in Alex’s words ridiculously late .. the spark between them was still very much alive though. They have come to learn that are both strong minded people who aren’t afrai...d to have their opinion heard, and they both have a hot headed temper and love to have the last word .. but they always come back together ... and deal well with their disagreements and then Alex usually agrees that Trudy is right! I’m not sure what was being shares here, but so many of their photos show them laughing @figtreepictures @michaelkellyfilms @thefrenchpetal @tomfrancisevents @theweddingshed @theearthhouse @byronbayweddings @alexoustonbeauty @spicymelons @themagicbus @ EarthHouse

19.01.2022 I Just LOVE this photo. Boys with hands in each other’s pockets and loving it! Their faces @azure_creative_photography

19.01.2022 On the wedding front this week it feels like we just need throw our cards up in the air and see where they fall.. which for me last week meant transferring paperwork for 4 weddings to other celebrants in different states And meanwhile in this intense weird world if your a truth seeker, and dig hard enough.. it seems that amidst all the chaos there is an increasing flame of hope for really good things coming Its also another great chance for us to simplify our lives ... ...again ... and as much as possible be in gratitude for nature and loved ones. These pics are of a really cool evolving piece of community ‘nature art’ that began back in March. It has become a magical focal point on our local beach to adorn with shells seaweed and whatever else people choose to find / bring and attach to it. (My mini me and me have been major contributors though ) I was there tonight on dusk .. without my camera... but it has evolved even more since these shots and it just makes me so incredible happy! #makenatuteart #communityartproject #covidlife

19.01.2022 I love the times I get to spend with my future couples.. be it over coffee, vino or margaritas.. as they spill the beans on their love story and ceremony visions. It’s extra special when I get to share these moment with good old friends.. who are coming to Byron to get married. Jim and Charlotte are creating a fantastical event experience for their familia.. now in 2021.. at the wonderful @deuxbelettes... I’m very excited to be part of this wedding both as a celebrant and a guest!

19.01.2022 This couple are a stand out fav in my busy 2020 of wonderful couples. I think it was something about their honesty around themselves as people and their truth regarding challenges they face, and continue to work on together and individually. Their ceremony was raw & real. Let’s be honest people.. love is tidal and it’s wise to prepare for the ebb & flow of ease & grace in marriage. Planning to keep it real in 2021.. while still of course celebrating all the ridiculous delici...ousness of romantic love Kylie + Alex married at the amazing @villarusticabyronbay With @__elope__ @thefuture_mrs @unveilbeing @wildernessflowers_ @brendan_back @rebellyouscakeco

18.01.2022 Time to be free. Bush & beach time with no schedules. How good is this part of our current reality? There are a multitude of ‘issues’ in our current world that are blowing my mind ... and stirring deep in my soul ... but this is not the forum for my beliefs about any of that. I just really hope everyone out there, has been able to embrace some of the beauty of this un-scheduled time to ground, create, love and just be!

17.01.2022 Gosh it was good to get these humble emotional humans hitched this arvo. First meeting in 1st grade .. they didn’t expect this to happen!! Truth be told... Caitlin fell in love with Scott’s dog before she fell in love with him. But today their sweet love was something very real. Congratulations guys and thanks for the phone snap Ann-Louise @possumcreekstudios

16.01.2022 Kyle + Pete enjoying a joyful frolic on the magical hill that is @byronviewfarm. For a micro wedding, this venue is just so sublime. These shots speak volumes of the fun & positivity that oozes from these stellar humans. So good to know my part in their journey was aligned with their vibe ... Susie was an awesome celebrant! She was always very chill and easy to work with. Her suggested wording and guidance with our vows was much appreciated and it all helped to create a wonderful ceremony. She ran us through the plan, like a pro and made us feel so at ease. Great effort, beautiful ceremony and all very much appreciated. 15.01.2022 What a shit show 2020 has been. Intensity, discombobulation & incredible beauty all at the same time. I just want to share my absolute appreciation for this work I do to the couples who put their trust in me to celebrate and translate their love into marriage ... and to the wedding folks, planners and friends I’m lucky enough to work alongside. Thankyou ... I’m excited about our future and now my pathway and my role on this new evolving earth feels much clearer. I hope it’s the same for lots of us out there. I’m subtly vibrating with excitement for the next wave of men and women who choose me to curate their love stories in 2021. 15.01.2022 Such a pleasure to marry these beautiful peeps just now amidst this luxurious array of florals - It was my second ceremony today and it’s extremely windy in Byron... I’m feeling very wind blow, but full of loving goodness. Jessica & Joel and their closest possie of mates and familia are celebrating in style tonight up and the magnificent @templefarmhouse_byron. ... 15.01.2022 Elopements & Micro weddings make so much sense at the moment. ~ A theme for couples I’m working with during these crazy times feel the urge to a) just get married no matter what, even if all their loved ones can’t come.. and b) illuminate love & positivity in this world by celebrating their happiness and solidarity in a wobbly world. 13.01.2022 MAGNIFICENT COLOURS I’m not usually one to gush about flowers, but it’s fair to say I’m a little bit obsessed about these stunning shades....those pinks and burnt oranges ... and I’m also quietly happy with myself for blending in so well I always ask my couples what colours they would like me to wear / not wear.. but it’s not often I feel that I’m such a perfect fit into the colour pallet that’s going on around me.... 13.01.2022 Ridiculously cute bulldog ring bearers, flower perfection, & the perfect mix of tears & giggles on a magnificent winters day in the Bay. . Lauren + Dans plans changed a bit with Covid, but it all felt so perfect for them last Saturday. . On a side note... I think Dan may have written some of the strangest yet funny Vows I’ve ever heard. 13.01.2022 This was the last time I stood in a lurve sandwich at a big wedding. 13.01.2022 Love in the time of COVID-19 A few weeks ago it was deep and divine helping Emiliano & Eliana get married. They wanted a shamanic ceremony, so we decided to combine Ellie’s ceremonial & shamanic background with my take on a deeper spiritual marriage ceremony... and we came together so beautifully.... with the humming bird watching over, bringing blessings to the proceedings.... It was also really cool that this was a pay it forward situation.. where a friend of a friend recommended me to these guys, so she paid my invoice as a surprise gift to the couple. Massive yay for this abundance mentality in these trying times.

13.01.2022 It’s official.. this week has been super challenging for all of us in the wedding industry With most couples choosing to wait and include more than 2 guests into their celebrations... i’ve still got a few small sweet elopements coming up, and have managed to reshuffle most of my couples to dates later this year and in 2021. It was a welcome moment to get these magnificent shots in the inbox yesterday of Laurise and Matt who are so full of joy ... and I’m sharing them to ke...ep people focused on how beautiful your wedding can and will be.. when the day comes... 12.01.2022 Loving fearlessly, deeply & passionately is where it’s at for Ana & Ben. They’ve also moved mountains to be together. When they contacted me and shared a snippet of their powerful love story, I was in! Hook line & sinker.. I even quoted low to make sure I had the experience of marrying them. It was all kinds of wonderful.... They thought so too ... Susie made our special day extra special. It's not often that we come across people that respond to their life calling as a professional career. Susie is one of these people. From the first contact on, she is supportive, attentive and present. But most of all, she makes it a point to make each ceremony unique, connecting to our love story and making sure we had the right energy on the day. 12.01.2022 Hello fellow humans. I hope amidst all this COVID-19 chaos you are staying positive, healthy a keeping perspective on what’s important in your life. If I’m your celebrant, and I haven’t already been in touch, rest assured that I am committed to helping accomodate any changes you decide upon. I’ve had some people moving their weddings forward, some who have rescheduled for later and quite a few choosing to go ahead no matter what. (Unless restrictions change) Another intere...sting idea is that one couple, marrying next week are planning a scaled back ceremony and streaming it live to the other 100 people who won’t be coming. Obviously this is a really tough decision for these guys.. but a good option none the less. Sending good vibes and love to everyone out there .. acknowledging that despite the chaos, this is an exciting time for real change in our Photo @shaneshepherdweddings

12.01.2022 We wanted to feel connected with the person who would deliver our love story. As soon as Susie came online to our first Zoom call we knew she was the one. 12.01.2022 When life gives you rain on your wedding day have fun & make the most of it, especially if you’ve got an amazing creative photographer like @kateholmesphotographer This couple had a big plans for a sunny Belongil beach wedding a few years ago. I remember standing in the rain on the beach with the groom waiting optimistically for it to stop.. until he eventually had to make the tough call to change to Plan B inside Belongil Bistro.. fair to say we were all a bit squashed and the view wasn’t great but as usual LOVE shone through the rain.

11.01.2022 Sienna and Matt are as strikingly beautiful on the inside as they are on the inside. 08.01.2022 Where do I stand? It's a common question.. At the beginning I stand off to the side. This allows the couple to be close together facing their guests which encourages a sense of connection and community with the crowd. It's also more inclusive for the bridal party.... Around the middle of the ceremony I will move in to form a triangle and ask the couple to face each other for their commitments. This allows me to support them in their Vows with prompting and microphone management which I find most couples really like. When it comes to exchanging rings, I will move off to the side so this sweet moment can be captured by the photographer.. sans me in all these special shots. Then for the moment I pronounce Husband & Wife, I'm always to the side, because let's be honest.. who really wants to see the celebrant head in this wonderful moment. Demonstrating all these positions are the lovely Trudy & Alex, married at @theearthhouse @figtreepictures @michaelkellyfilms @thefrenchpetal @theweddingshed @byronbayweddings @alexoustonbeauty @spicymelons

We’re not big on having attention on us but Susie guided us through what to expect, and on the day made us feel so comfortable. She set the tone for our ceremony beautifully and told our love story from her heart. 08.01.2022 It’s happy days when the admiration is mutual. Susie was great! We only met a couple of times in person but she told our story in a way that felt completely us. She thought of all the finer details, that we did not, which made our ceremony extra special and even helped to direct our guest afterwards. She gave us excellent tools to write our vows and even helped refine them to work perfectly together. We couldn’t have been happier with our ceremony. Thank you Susie!!! . t...hank you Ellyce & Matthew . #susiefiggisreview See more

07.01.2022 Bronte & Drew are film and theatre people, so rather than the usual flower petals for their exit.. they had all their friends & family eating popcorn through their ceremony and then throwing it for their exit! It was brilliant. And I’m chuffed to receive this feedback from them this week. ... Susie was such an amazing addition to our special day. She was very helpful and informative before the ceremony and managed to get all the important information through to two very busy humans over Skype and emails as we were in different cities. She did such a fantastic job of determining what we were after in our ceremony and combined the perfect balance of our input and her expertise. We had the pleasure of meeting her over a coffee a few days before the ceremony and she always maintains positive and calming presence regardless of the pre-wedding stress! Though it was a wildly windy day the ceremony was beautiful and we couldn’t have asked for a better presence there on the day! #BrewAndDronteForever @secretgarden @frankandjoy

07.01.2022 A heart warming scene when Jess and Silas married in a secret glen last year, witnessed only by their beautiful girls, a photographer and a friend of mine. How cool that the girls are watching this kids so intently.

07.01.2022 They looked at each other just a little to long to be friends.. ~ And they both want the same things in life including a private and beautiful wedding that was just for them. ~ True intimate Elopement Bliss, congratulations Amy and Wade you both shine and it was beautiful to slip into your bubble... @brendan_back @__elope__ @templefarmhouse_byron @wildwood.flowers

07.01.2022 7 years ago I married these stellar humans who have since become special friends.. and as the owners of our local coffee shop @mrsbirdysgb they are important & inspirational folks in my community... especially through Crazy Covid times. ~ Our daughters are besties at school (both babies when this happened!) and even these sweet flower girls have grown into sassy teenagers who also hang with my teen in SGB where we all live. ~ Kate & Scott I youse guys xxx... 06.01.2022 THIS is how much FUN you can have on your wedding day! Beth + Adam are consummate JOY participants & seekers (clearly). Their September wedding was nearly sabotaged by Covid.. but their specific situation (with 90% of guests from NSW) allowed them to go ahead and literally have the time of their lives. Celebrations were nesseled into a 100 yr old family property and it was clearly a hoot from the get go.... They had an A-list of other awesome providers: @azure_creative_photography @ashberdebes on film @alstonvilleflorist @frankandjoy @eatdrinkevents @makeupmaree @thetipihireco See more

06.01.2022 SACRED & GROUNDED. Lucy & Simon were keen to create a rich, intentional & inclusive ceremony that spoke to their spiritual souls, without alienating many of their guests who don’t necessarily share their depth. They sent me a video of a Hawaiian priest conducting a very reverent ceremony and asked if I could help them create a similar vibe. I said yes and we did. ... I’ve just used a wee bit of Pandemic time up my sleeve to blog about this divine ceremony.. so if your interested, click on the link in my bio, (skip past the few videos) or pop over to my website and read a bit more about what we included in this divine ceremony. (Imagine trying to home school that many primary school kids together ) Last November, they all looked so dapper at their parents wedding in light blue blazers.. and we called them all up at the end of the ceremony to share a drink from the family goblet.. bonding them all as a family and beginning the celebrations . ... 02.01.2022 Happy Days ahead for these two groovers married today in a small ceremony under a tree on their property in Mullim... with this Beautiful Chevvie as their get away car to the reception tonight at the amazing @stelmobyronbay Romell initially stood out to Sam because he was loud & crazy.. tall dark and handsome.. and he immediately found Sam (as she served him across the bar) incredibly attractive, quick witted and he loved her English Banter. During their 18 months together, ...(which has been a bit of a crazy ride) they have had sooo much fun together, they have worked on their own self development, and set themselves some healthy boundaries to gain the perspective they now share. It was an honor (and a blast) to help make them married today.

02.01.2022 Love must go on! Midweek and in the rain.. - Edwina + josh are an absolute hoot of a couple and their ceremony was full of banter, hilarity & golden unplanned moments. Just a small crowd of 25ish of their closest familia ... - iPhone snap by beautiful and bubbly @beckrocchiphotography .. I do realise I have cut off Josh’s head.. but this is to show the sneaker style of this bride. She absolutely rocked them with a super plain but very elegant dress. Yay for being true herself and her own vibe on her wedding day. @__elope__ @newrybardowns @theweddingshed @figtreerestaurant @alexoustonbeauty @anamundiweddings @niall.lochhead.music @littlewildthingsbabysitting_
