23.01.2022 Recycled jarrah timber - Solid deck !! Reclaimed materials / salvaged floorboards turned into decking boards. Sometimes reusing materials can be extremely hard, (no wonder no many tradies don’t like to work with second hand materials) it damages your tools, nothing is straight, takes longer and becomes labour intensive, which increases the cost and also takes a lot of patience to be able to make it look good.... I guess we’ve got a bad batch this time. (Floor boards were covered in some kind of old vinyl adhesive) However, a flexible approach from the homeowner and the workers supporting the idea of reusing materials allowed a nice finished product. (Still needs to be sanded) - Environmentally friendly building/construction work - Repurposing second hand materials
