22.01.2022 Not our words but copied because we all need to be vigilant. As you may remember not all that long ago, in 2020, ALL Clubs and pubs were shut. No schooners and... lovely wines no catching up for drinks with friends, no night out for dinner. No jobs Then the government allowed them all to open back up BUT with restrictions !!! limited group numbers, keeping 1.5 meter distancing, No mingling, and the big one YOU MUST REMAIN SEATED AT ALL TIMES IN ALL AREAS no exception. So when you walk into your next licensed premises and you roll your eyes because you have to stop to give your details, contact number etc please remember, we are just doing our jobs to try to stay open for YOU as well as for us. Don't be that person who has to be constantly told to keep seated and frustrate the staff for doing their job! The government has put in these restrictions and we MUST follow them in order to stop any spread in clubs and pubs, so we don't get fined, once again loose our jobs and you can continue to enjoy a cold schooner with your mates. We are all in this crazy new world together. See you @ Club Kirrawee See more

17.01.2022 LATEST COVID REGULATIONS - Please Read Fully... The NSW state government has mandated digital recording of Sign-In for ALL PERSONS entering hospitality venues, effective yesterday (Mon 23/11/20). (ie. paper recording of sign-In/out is now forbidden) Therefore PLEASE ENSURE that YOU Sign-In/Out, immediately on arrival/departure, utilising either the QR Code or Laptop Input, available at the main bar. If you can’t use the QR Code, you can sign-in/out with the assistance of the ...Bar Staff. To assist in guiding customers to the Bar sign-in area, the doors to the Auditorium (adjacent to the ATM) will remain locked during non-busy times, to ensure ALL customers digitally sign-in prior to proceeding to the Auditorium/Bistro. The above systems are an interim measure which enables us to comply with the newly imposed regulations. We are working on other solutions that will make the process less cumbersome & less reliant on bar staff. Please Note: Signing Out, whilst not a legal requirement, is PREFERRED as, for example, you sign-out @ 4pm and a Covid positive person enters @ 6pm, the Covid Contact Tracers do not need to contact you. However if you haven’t signed-out, they don’t know that you weren’t still on the premises @ 6pm. IMPORTANT NOTICE FOR BOWLERS - ON BOWLS DAYS! (Tue/Thu WBC + Wed/Sat MBC) A separate Sign-In system has been set-up (on a temporary basis) to enable you to be signed-in by a volunteer, by using your Club Kirrawee Badge Number. PLEASE ENSURE THAT THE FIRST THING YOU DO WHEN ENTERING THE CLUB. IS SIGN-IN !!! Board of Directors, Club Kirrawee

09.01.2022 Please read the updates below regarding transitioning back into Bowls and information pertaining to Zone 13. Roll-Ups and the Law Please read the update below r...egarding the state of play with roll-ups. In Summary - By Law - a maximum of 10 people are allowed on any green at any time. Social Distancing must be practiced. Furthermore Clubs are obliged to make every effort to keep a log with times, names and phone numbers of those rolling up. This must be maintained for 28 days and be produced to NSW Health if required. This is to assist with contact tracing where necessary. The specific announcement by NSW Government in relation to this can be found here: https://rnswba.org.au//Exemption-to-Public-Health-Orders-1 Bowls NSW and Zone 13 Affiliation Fees All affiliation fees are deferred until further notice. Members will still be eligible to play events upon resumption. 2020 AGM Under the Zone 13 Constitution the AGM may will be deferred for up to 6 months under exceptional circumstances. The 2020 AGM will therefore be held on Monday December 7. Delegates Meetings The June Delegates Meeting has been cancelled. Resumption of Delegates Meetings will occur once social distancing laws allow. Bowls Events Australian opens (Alley Shield) and Seniors Sides Championships have been cancelled. NSW State Championships and NSW Champion of Champions are still planned to go ahead. Dates will be advised when this is feasible. Zone 13 Championships will resume where possible. Events to be completed are: 1. Zone Pairs (down to semis) 2. Zone Triples (Down to quarters) 3. Reserve Zone Fours Final 4. Zone Singles 5. Club Singles and Club Pairs 6. Champion of Champion Singles and Pairs BNSW and Zone 13 Calendar will be reworked once a clearer picture is available regarding clubs reopening and changes to social distancing laws. There will also remain the possibility of further disruptions should infections spike and isolation laws resumed. Junior 7-a-Side The Junior 7-a-Side may still be played in early October. This is pending and is to be confirmed. Pennants The outlook of Pennants remains unclear. This will be the last format that can resume due to the sheer number of players required on the green. State Pennant Finals may or may not proceed. Zone 13 Pennants may be cancelled or it may proceed to Zone Winners only. Available time will be critical and we are aware that many may not be able to commit to the 6 rounds remaining in the season. One possibility could be completing Round 5 of Pennants and then having an expanded Finals Series (more sides qualify). This would mean that Pennants could be completed over 2 weekends - possibly in November/December. This is purely speculative right now and Club Delegates will have the final say with Pennants once we are back on track with bowls.

07.01.2022 Organised Bowls to Resume 1 July WBNSW & BNSW welcomes the NSW Government announcement today (10 June) that community sports for all ages will be able to resume organised matches from 1 July. This will include the resumption of social and competition bowls.... HOWEVER, the current restrictions AS LEGISLATED BY NSW GOVERNMENT still apply, that is, up to 10 persons are allowed per green, for training/practice purposes only, with social distancing, hygiene and cleaning of equipment and recording of participants procedures be in place. The government has advised that more specific details regarding the resumption of sport will be released over the coming days and when these are known, both WBNSW & BNSW will release their COVID safe plans and recommended guidelines/checklist for clubs to be able to ensure they are set up to meet the requirements, prior to the 1 July start date. Both Associations acknowledge the patience of our membership during these recent times and we all can now look forward to resuming participating in our great sport from 1 July.
