24.01.2022 U7 boys are some of the most competitive boys you will ever meet! Zander, Joel, Gabriel and Charlie are amazing and talented athletes (Other centres found that out at zones)! It was a fight to the finish of these 60m hurdles! Well done to Charlie who managed to grab the win!

17.01.2022 It is competitive in the U7 boys in the discus! Well done to Joel, Noah and Declan throwing like champs! Medals in that age group were hard to get so it really didn’t matter what colour just happy to have one hanging around their neck!

13.01.2022 The 2020/21 season will commence at Swan Valley (Coolamon Oval) on 17 October 730am. Registrations will open on 5 September 2020. Please contact your club for registrations, either Ellenbrook or Bindoon.

11.01.2022 Swan Valley athletes did the centre proud yesterday at the State Relay with outstanding results and superb Pbs! They certainly showed that SVLAC have high quality athletes! Special congratulations to Arji and Travis who received a bronze medal in the U17B field events!

08.01.2022 Last night was our last meet for 2020. Our lucky winner of our raffle was Sharne, orange ticket B 08. Congratulations. Merry Christmas and Happy New Year to all our athletes and families. We look forward to seeing you in 2021.

08.01.2022 What makes our centre amazing is that our older athletes take time out to present the medals to our younger athletes and they think it is amazing!

07.01.2022 Next Saturday December 19 is our last meet for 2020, Twilight . Athletes warm up call at 2.45pm and 1st call at 3pm for 1st events. Canteen will be open. We will also be running a raffle, $1 per ticket. Good luck everyone.

04.01.2022 Afternoon parents and athletes! Athletics is a family sport and requires parents and guardians to assist. Last week several field events were assisted by track officials and senior athletes and this is not sustainable and disrupts the running of events. For FIELD EVENTS chaperones require 4-5 adults to assist them. Once marshalled for an event chaperones will be send athletes to go and get parents from the hill to assist in measuring, pulling tape through and pegging. Should the chaperone not have this parent help the event will be cancelled for athletes, which will be disappointing for them. We appreciate all the hard work parents and guardians already do for the Centre and thank those who will assist tomorrow.

04.01.2022 If you are heading to States this weekend please ensure you leave plenty of time to find parking. As always the venue is used by a multitude of sports and WA Basketball League have a grading tournament on this weekend. Please be patient with parking attendants and give yourself extra time to arrive so you don’t miss your athletes call room times.

04.01.2022 The SVLAC committee would like to thank Nola Johnson who engraved medals for 5 hours yesterday and then donated the money to the centre! Your work was amazing and beautiful! Both parents and athletes were so very grateful for your time and attention to detail! Thank you for being amazing!

04.01.2022 Dear Centres, please see the communication below regarding this weekends State Track and Field Championship. LAWA State Track and Field Championship 2019/20 Announcement: Given the highly contagious nature of the Covid-19 virus we have consulted with Industry leaders regarding the current state of affairs and the potential impact on this weekend’s State Championships.... The LAWA Board has made the difficult decision to cancel the event this weekend in light of information provided. We are also aware of other public events that have been cancelled in WA this week. The health and well-being of the Athletics Community, including Athletes, Parents, Family Members, Volunteers, Officials and Staff involved with the event is our paramount concern. We understand this is a late decision, however, with Health Department updates occurring hourly, we have not been able to make this decision until now. We are currently working though the logistics of this decision and the impact it has. We apologise for the inconvenience this has caused. The office is currently working to advise all members who will be sent a direct email regarding this decision immediately. We will also attempt to call as many none metro participants as possible. Due to the busy workload today we are not able to monitor or answer questions posted on this post. The office will work though the logistics of this decision and the process moving forwards. Once we have information regarding this we will communicate it with Centres and Members. This information will not be available today. We will not be making this same announcement on the public Facebook page, however we will make a post to direct all Members to check their emails immediately regarding the event.
