24.01.2022 The unfortunate events of recent times stopped us in our travel tracks, as it did to many others around a the world. We feel very fortunate to have a great home base to return to and hang out in isolation. Comfy and safe, with time to chill and reflect. We have loved this time and treasure the opportunity to have a forced pause on life. It’s a rare gift for those who have been able to remain safe during this time. In our isolated state we have decided it is time to add a ...tail to the Swales family. Meet Cargo, our soon to be newest member of the family. A gorgeous toy poodle that we are very much looking forward to welcoming to the fray. Sure, it’s going to change the way we travel, but it certainly won’t stop us searching for adventure. Looking forward to our first road trip of 2020 to collect our precious Cargo. Stay tuned for some puppy cuteness over the coming months. #swalestales #swalestail #cargo #cargopup #roadtrip #dogfamily #toypoodle #traveldog

23.01.2022 From homeschool to return to school. For our family, this was a tough decision and one that we didn’t make until the day before school started back. Homeschool was not exempt from challenges. Trying to get the kids to write was like pulling teeth and trying to make them learn something they weren’t interested in, well, it just doesn’t soak in. ...Continue reading

17.01.2022 This trendy little muffin has been helping out tweaking the art displays at the Baker Bro’s Gallery. Her reward? The cutest little blue mandala earrings.

16.01.2022 When mum comes to visit straight off the boat from scampi season. Nice. #scampi #bakedscampi #thanksmum

16.01.2022 Saying farewell to family is always hard. So glad to have been able to spend time the time with those we love. Off to new adventures and a new chapter for 2020. How lucky are we to be able to write our own story?!... #headinghome #nextadventure #newchapter #farewellfamily #goodbyecanada #hello2020 #iceskating #kelowna #swalestales

15.01.2022 Those that saw this video, lucky you. Those that didn’t, sorry, too slow. Xavier decided the video was not for public viewing, just for school, so he asked me to make the link private and delete the post from this site. I have to respect my sensitive son’s wishes. I am still super proud of them both for commentating the first part of our trip and getting this video together. ... We’ll see how he feels about Part 2: Hawaii when that’s finished. Hopefully he feels it’s up to scratch to share with the world.

15.01.2022 Our wild tribe in a rare still moment. I couldn’t believe my luck when they all lined up for a quick photo. That never happens! #swaleskids #minimatsons

15.01.2022 Just a girl and her puppy. Cargo has arrived to the Swales family at last. This little rascal had stolen our hearts before he arrived. Now he’s a cuddly bundle of fun. Such a character. #swalestail #toypoodle #cargoswales #wegotadog

13.01.2022 Beach play time with our puppy. It’s great how he instantly fell in love with the beach, the sand, the rolling waves. #lifeofcargo #beachtime #winterbeachday #beachdog

13.01.2022 Let’s hope our supermarkets follow suit.

07.01.2022 Straight back to my silver bench and running more #SilverSession workshops. It’s going to be a busy month.

07.01.2022 Back home from our latest trip and straight back into it. The kids have returned to school for now, giving us a break, and I’ve returned to my silver bench. So far we have a blank calendar. And I mean crazy blank! Watch how fast it fills up, but hopefully only with things we love. ... Running silver sessions I absolutely love! The energy, the creativity and spending time with amazing people. Help me do more of what I love and see how much you’ll love coming along, by booking in for a silver session this year. Hope to see you in your town soon. Jasmine

02.01.2022 Thanks to all the eco warriors we have won this battle agains Big Oil destroying our coastline. Equinor takes their bat and ball to go home, claiming it’s not economical for them to drill, which is FANTASTIC news! We all need to celebrate this win. However they were approved, beyond all reasonable sense, to carry out drilling and risk our future. ... This approval is still a dangerous cloud hanging over us. It needs to be revoked to stop another company from slipping in under that approval in the future, and protect the area in the long term. We won the battle, not yet the war. We will keep on fighting for our future. ...but for now. YAY!!! #fightforthebight #gohomeequinor #stayoutofthebight #sayNO #celebrate #peoplepower #dontstopfighting #ourfuture
