06.05.2022 Hi Everyone. Another update on the Swan Hill Drag Racing Strip to stop the Rumour Mill The Guardian ( local newspaper) watched the ... Swan Hill Council meeting Live Stream. And without asking one question or doing any investigative journalism, formed an opinion and wrote a story. The Jerno lives in Melbourne. Not Local. Once again CREATING DIVISION between the public and the council. Also not helping the Swan Hill Drag Racing Club to move forward. Once again! No Thanks to Pete and the Guardian. Plain and Simple! The council did not want to spend $210 thousand on another study that would tell what they already knew. We have had a meeting with the CEO and another with the Mayor. We have changed our strategy and have decided to go down another path. We are gathering costings on an independent level to rebuild our Drag Strip Racing Surface . The Guardian wrote, the council needed $10 million to do the rebuild. ??? This sent shockwaves through, not only the SHDRC, the public, the councillors and the council. The SHDRC will be searching for costings to do what is needed. The SHDRC, with the use of a private consultant and other engineers and business owners, who have offered their expertise. The SHDRC will be searching for funding through State and Federal Governments with the help of the people mentioned. This will take time. We are determined to keep Drag Racing in Swan Hill. We will be planning and eventually presenting a case to council. The Swan Hill Rural City Council own the Swan Hill Motor Racing Complex. Nothing can happen without their eventual involvement. 22.04.2022 Dion Marsh from Slab Jack Industries visited the Swan Hill Dragway last weekend to discuss the option of manipulating the current racing surface in lieu of repl...acement effectively reducing the refurbishment costs by upto 90%. With an estimated project time of 5 days it's feasible to suggest Swan Hill Dragway could be open for business this coming Summer. Currently the Australian National Drag Racing Association are assisting Swan Hill Dragway with thier proposal to seek funding for the rectification works via the state government motorsport grants program. Besides the concrete racing surface, substantial works also need to be completed in the asphalt braking area to bring the track up to spec. The club is reaching out to the state government for the maximum $500,000 grant available which will not only cover the racing surface rectification works but also allow for additional works such as power into the complex. The Victorian Drag Racers Club have jumped on board to assist Swan Hill Dragway with thier endeavours to go racing and look to have an opportunity in the future to strengthen ties with the Swan Hill Dragway. For now the focus is on assisting Swan Hill Dragway to go racing this summer. How exciting! See more

24.01.2022 We have had a few people inquire if the bumps in the race surface have been fixed, so we took a little video of the track while it is being reglued and laying rubber down. Seovic Diamond Grinding Division have come down from Sydney and ground the approximately 120 metres of the track including the transition.

23.01.2022 A few photos to go with the video, we just put up. We are busy prepping it for our test n tune day on the 19th, then we have Street Machine Drag Challenge on the 12th of November followed later the same week by Jamboree on the 16th & 17th. It's a busy time but we love it.

Plenty happening all weekend, Car displays in the middle of Swan Hill on the Friday night, race all day Saturday, DJ & full bar running Saturday night, then back into the racing bright and early Sunday morning.

02.01.2022 We are having a fundraising night at Showbiz Cinema Swan Hill on the 26th of November, the Ford Vs Ferrari movie starring Matt Damon & Christian Bale, $30 a ticket with a drink, popcorn and a lolly cup included. Screening starts at 7.00 pm, so be there early or miss out on the good seats.

Technical Inspection to be completed at Track by IHRA Australia Technical Officer (Valid for Event ONLY) A current Licence and Logbook in date from an Alternative sanctioning body must be provided Request and payment for a Reciprocal Event Licence must be completed prior to the Event. Allocated times will be made available for the vehicle to be inspected Teams responsibility to ensure the vehicle meets all IHRA Australia class regulations and class designations IHRA Australia reserves the right to disallow any vehicle not compliant with class regulations and class designations
