22.01.2022 Yesterday was special: my daughter had an ATAR exam for the last time and it was the first time I got to present an award to graduating Yr 12s as a councillor:... and I was blown away by Swan View SHS. I laughed, I cried (there wasn't a dry eye after Deklan's speech) and I quietly marvelled. Such courage, wisdom, warmth, support and encouragement, and a real celebration. THANK YOU Swan View SHS for creating such a wonderful culture and a truly memorable Yr 12 send off. See more

19.01.2022 NAIDOC WEEK Today marks the last day of NAIDOC Week. This year's theme 'Always Was, Always Will Be.' recognises that First Nations people have occupied and cared for this continent for over 65,000 years. We held our Annual NAIDOC assembly last Thursday outdoors followed by morning tea in the Library. We also completed a planting ceremony in our NAIDOC garden the day before. ... 15.01.2022 As a former student of Swan View Senior High School, it was an absolute privilege to present two awards last night at the Year 12 Graduation Ceremony. The Excel...lence in Aboriginal Education Award, sponsored by the Hon Ken Wyatt, was awarded to Kawlija Brahim. The Hon Donna Faragher MLC Leadership and Service Award to Ryan Pohl. Congratulations! Finishing off with some words of wisdom for the female Dux of the school, Lhiyaizza Ramirez. The Year 12 students are a credit to the Principal, Dr George Sekulla, the teachers and parents. Well done Graduating Class of 2020!
