03.01.2022 Hey dessert lovers, We have made the very reluctant decision to postpone Sweet As - Brisbane Dessert Festival to 30th May 2021 at Musgrave park. We are just not confident of proceeding given how quickly things can change with this pandemic and the prospect of new restrictions overnight if there is the hint of a second wave. ... With the current rule that attendees must be seated when consuming food or alcohol, we would have to provide a lot more seating which would further reduce the venue capacity of 1 person per 4sqm of free space. Together with all the other extra costs to run a COVID Safe event, which makes the event unsustainable even with 2 sessions and increased ticket prices, it is really not worth the risk for our small family business or for our vendors and patrons to proceed with the event at present. Fingers crossed things return to some sort of normalcy asap. Thanks for your continued support. Stay safe, stay sweet everyone!
