22.01.2022 Tonight, Burdekin Shire Council Mayor Lyn McLaughlin catches up with 88-year-old Olivio Pozzebon, one of the country's most experienced hand cane cutters, and Doug 'Chippo' Chappel, the man behind the AHCCC, to go over the rules of the Championships ahead of Friday's Councillor Cane Cutting Showdown. You will realise very quickly that Mr Pozzebon isn't the most talkative chap with a camera pointed at him - but once he has a cane knife in his hand, his face lights up and you can't stop him swinging! #visitburdekin #townsvilleshines #thisisqueensland Visit Burdekin, North Queensland Visit Townsville, Australia
