19.01.2022 T E L E H E A L T H our therapists are currently providing Telehealth services to our sweet paeds and their families during the COVID-19 lockdown in Melbourne. What is Telehealth? + the use of telecommunications technology to deliver clinical services + used for the purpose of assessment, intervention, consultation and/or supervision... + includes the use of telephone consultation, email and/or video conferencing Is it suitable for everyone? + Telehealth is a great option for delivering therapy services to our families and suits many but not all children. + Children who have significant difficulty attending to task, regulating their emotions and / or behaviours, and have difficulty communicating and understanding language may have difficulty participating in Telehealth sessions. + We offer face-to-face therapy sessions for children who are unable to participate in Telehealth but are able to maintain social distancing and safe hygiene practices with the help of their parent or guardian. Eligibility for face-to-face appointments during this time are assessed individually on a needs basis. We have chosen to provide Telehealth services for our families to do our part and stop the spread of COVID-19. Stay safe

06.01.2022 Hi! My name is Caitlin Carlow and I am the Director and Senior Occupational Therapist at Sweet Paeds Therapy. After completing my Bachelor of Occupational Therapy (Honours) at Monash University, I have worked in various settings including both in the public and private sectors; community, hospital and clinic-based. I have worked with people of all ages, with a variety of needs, however always sought to find opportunities to learn and work with children with disabilities and d...evelopmental delays. I love finding ways of making therapy FUN! and seeing a child's face light up with each success. I also love seeing how much parents advocate and support their children to be the best they can be. I am also Mama to my beautiful boy Tommy who shows me every day how strong and fierce a parent's love can be for their child.
