20.01.2022 Keeping on with our Meet the Teachers, please meet Top Rydes Mr Dante! After three years of teaching he still loves it because seeing a student strive for success and watching them grow to become a better swimmer is extremely satisfying and rewarding. Instead of taking a normal part-time job, Mr Dante decided he wanted a job helping lives; and he is! He loves music, soccer, photography and travel (he just came back from a trip in Europe!). Come visit Mr Dante and see why the kids and parents love him so much!

20.01.2022 Tip: How much skill is enough? Having the ability to swim around a backyard pool doesnt necessarily mean a child is strong enough to cope in an unfamiliar or stressful situation. Swimming ability can deteriorate rapidly under stress, the more skilled the child is the greater the chances of survival is.... Keep developing those skills. #LTS #swimfirstaustralia #skillforlife #swimming

20.01.2022 What's your favourite stroke?! Are you a freestyler? A butterfly-er? Maybe you have natural frog-legs for breaststroke! We all have our favourite and we want to know what yours is! Not sure? Why not book into a class at Swim First and you can decide for yourself? Message us today!

19.01.2022 Congratulations to Top Ryde's Hannah Jacobs on receiving July's Swimmer of the Month! Miss Colette is so proud of your progress, enthusiasm and swimming you've been doing. Go Hannah! #swimfirst #LTS #swimming #congrats

19.01.2022 Tip: Be patient If a child only swims once a week its going to feel like a very long time before they can swim. In the long run the total time spent at swim lessons is probably less than just one week of a childs life. Enjoy the experience and know that you are doing something very, very good (and healthy) for your child.... The skill will develop! #swimfirstaustralia #LTS #swimming #skillforlife

"Growing up I was surrounded by fitness as my mum ran a big sports club in my home country of Iran for more than 30 years. ... I have a degree in Human Nutrition and am currently studying Fashion Design at UNSW. I love sports and well being and love spending my free time in the gym at Top Ryde. As well as going to the gym, I enjoy swimming, skiing and tennis. I am passionate about teaching all age groups and levels. I find teaching a rewarding profession that is full of little joys. The kids' everyday improvements makes me the most proud at the end of the day." Come and say hi to Miss Bahar at our Top Ryde location! #lovewhatyoudo #LTS #swimfirst #swimming #teaching

17.01.2022 Our Top Ryde Team having some fun with the Team at Puddle Pics

17.01.2022 We believe its so important to teach children eye contact, verbal cues and hand signals before allowing the child to enter the water. Vincent is aged 20months and is demonstrating the advanced skill of Ready, Set, go As seen in video, Vincent calls for his mothers attention, he then has to wait until eyes are on him, mother says the word Go, and uses hand signals whilst doing so, before he enters the water.... Great work Vincent and Mum

01.01.2022 Top Tip: Swimming isn’t just for kids; adults can learn too! If you’re learning to swim for the first time or haven’t been in the water for a while, keep it simple! Everyone has to start somewhere and the best place to start is with with the basics. Get in touch with your local Swim First site today or send us a message to book your adult swim class!

01.01.2022 Tip: More Time in the Water A child participating in just one half hour lesson each week for 40 weeks a year will only have 20 hours of swim lesson time. Learning to swim takes time and lots of practice just like any other skills, so the more time spent in the water the quicker they will learn... #swimfirstaustralia #swimming #LTS #skillforlife
