25.01.2022 We have been asked many times about LiveStreaming for this upcoming event. Unfortunately we have not been able to facilitate this in time for this event. Swimming Queensland have certainly been investigating and trialing this and will assist the region with information through their trials of this new system. Our goal for this event is to have the swimmers in the water participating and having fun. These are difficult times and as volunteers our region is doing the best we can. We trust you understand. Thank you for your support to the region in getting this happening.

13.01.2022 Vale Dean Pugh Unfortunately, in a short period of time we have the incredibly sad task of informing you of another passing of a member of the Gold Coast Swimming Community. Yesterday, Dean Pugh, head coach at Trinity Aquatic Club and Trinity Lutheran College passed away after a determined battle with cancer. Dean was an incredibly talented coach with a holistic approach, who believed that each swimmer was different and needed one on one attention to reach their potential. D...ean started his coaching career in 1995 and had coached at various clubs, including Brisbane Grammar, Logan Vikings and Waterworx, before settling at Trinity over 5 years ago. Dean had incredible success, guiding Australian swimmers Keryn MacMaster and Mitch Larkin at times throughout their careers, also assisting the Czech National Team, from Trinity. This is a huge loss to the Australian coaching community. SGC offer our condolences to Deans family and to all the people who's live has been contributed to by Dean. RIP. See more

She was a great friend to many of us and loved nothing more than to support our clubs and swimmers. Tiana loved a raffle and great comradery was sh...ared on pool deck. Our thoughts and prayers are with her son, Scott. Tiana will be greatly missed.
