20.01.2022 Tonight's focus will be TRICKING YOU INTO THE TRICKERATION!!! This classic routine was used by Norma Miller as a testing ground/tryout for her Jazz dancers. 17 fantastic steps pieced together in a wonderful sequence we call THE TRICKERATION. I've been discussing what to do with all classic Jazz Routines & working on the individual steps, so I'm going to reverse engineer this one in sharing it with you.... We are going to start with the individual 17 steps, work the quality of movement and be "ambi-foot-rous". I'm purposely going to go from last to first and then piece it back together for the full routine. Week 1 - get through as many of the 17 individual steps Week 2 - finish the 17 and start to rebuild the routine Week 3 - finish the routine and discuss the musicality of The Trickeration :-)

19.01.2022 This evening at 7:00pm PDT the College of Swing Era Knowledge (kind of) continues... Tonight - I will be going live tonight and looking for some honest feedback on what to do/offer in August. Despite thoroughly enjoying sharing the knowledge I have with all of you, the time vs $$$ simply does not add up at all with raising a family. I will typically put 3-5hrs of prep into these sessions to offer you the best I have, not to mention the 21 years of experience building this kn...owledge to share. There are a LOT of online resources and I'm simply feeling that I should be devoting more time to my family and other paying jobs to provide for my family. I am open to suggestions, ideas, and creating other options for everyone still interested in the College of Swing Era Knowledge concept as I feel that I still have a lot to offer to all Swing Dance communities. 04.01.2022 Tonight, I will conclude my 3 part series on Maxie Dorf focusing on Maxie - THE INSTRUCTOR and what I call Maxie-isms. Great advice from a Balboa master for any teacher of Bal or any dance for that matter. Given the difficulties I have been having sharing videos via Facebook & trying to stream a Zoom session to Facebook I will attempt to go LIVE to FB via Zoom (so I can go back & forth from live/share screen easily). If for whatever reason, the FB feed cuts out, does not wo...rk, loops, etc the link to the Zoom Room will be shared and you can join me there. I recommend joining me in the Zoom Room if possible to avoid missing out on anything as I will NOT be focusing on Facebook other than trying to send the feed. I will keep an eye on comments/questions, but if there are issues I'm going to let FB go and focus 100% on Zoom. Doing the best I can with these technical issues.
