24.01.2022 SwitchCo Projects have been engaged on their second project with Toll Shipping The upgrading of the terminals at Webb Dock and Burnie to support the uplift in freight that comes with Tolls new larger ships operating between Tasmania and Victoria. Acting as Tolls Superintendent, SwitchCo Projects are very pleased to show works underway now at Webb Dock, marking the start of the 18 month long project.



24.01.2022 SwitchCo Projects are the Owner’s Engineer on behalf of BE Power Services and Merricks Capital for the Batchelor Solar Farm project and are working closely with the EPC Contractor, BSR EPC to deliver the project. This 12.5MWdc/10MWac solar farm, located 100kms from Darwin, consists of a NEXTracker single axis tracking system with Jinko modules and 2x SMA MVPS skids connected to the 22kV PWC network at Batchelor. With piles already in the ground and sub-contractors on site, the solar farm will be finished before you know it.

23.01.2022 SwitchCo Projects completed another fuel system design for a BP Australia service station built in Kenwick, Western Australia. Our client, Tydan Constructions, built this new to industry site as part of BPs continuous growth in WA. As always, our design achieves the regulatory, Australian Standards as well as the operators requirements. Part of our engagement was to obtain a Dangerous Goods licence for the site, which is a specific WA regulatory requirement. With our involvement completed, we are delighted to witness this projects completion.

21.01.2022 Recently SwitchCo Projects successfully completed a UTMP (tank replacement) and store upgrade project at BP Melton for BP Australia. Acting as Client Representative on behalf of BP, SwitchCo Projects were involved in the scoping, planning permit application submission, and managing the D&C contract with the Principal Contractor on this job, Kingdom Projects.



21.01.2022 SwitchCo Projects are working with BE Power Services and Merricks Capital on the delivery of two projects in the Northern Territory. SwitchCo Projects are the Owner’s Engineer for both Hudson Creek Power Station and Batchelor Solar Farm. The project has secured government funding from the Northern Australia Infrastructure Facility (NAIF) and will be the first privately owned and operated base load power station in the NT. 20.01.2022 SwitchCo Projects are proud to be assisting a new client in managing the sub-division and development of some underutilised land on their property. The project is in its early stages and we are working towards obtaining planning approval so cant say too much yet. We are excited to see this project into construction which will bring new convenience food options to the community in Chirnside Park. More information to come.

19.01.2022 SwitchCo are proud to have been a part of the large infrastructure investment by Toll Group in Burnie in preparation for the arrival of the new vessels. These first few months have been incredibly busy in the terminal, with the existing ramp replaced with a new larger ramp to accommodate the larger ships. SwitchCo have managed the shore ramp replacement and the addition of new mooring facilities all while Toll continued operations during construction. www.switchco.com.au/news

19.01.2022 Toll Group Berthing and Infrastructure Project, Webb Dock. Practical Completion has been achieved, meaning the new Toll vessels can now berth. A very satisfactory achievement after a lot of work on piling, concreting, dredging, and RoRo installation. Well done to everyone who made this happen! www.switchco.com.au/news

18.01.2022 The majority of the project works in the Toll terminal in Burnie, TAS are now complete. Toll Operations are utilising the entirety of the new layout and electrical infrastructure delivered to date. The last remaining portion of works to supply electrical power to the vessels in place of diesel power scheduled to begin shortly.

18.01.2022 The upgrade works in the Toll Webb Dock terminal overseen by SwitchCo Projects continue to progress! Completed sections of the terminal are regularly being handed over to Toll for use, including the refuelling station and the weighbridge. Now the last warehouse is taking shape. Toll Group and Civilex have been fantastic at adapting to the challenges of Covid-19, and we are looking forward to project completion in the next couple of months.

14.01.2022 Down at Webb Dock where the Toll Terminal Upgrade works are under construction, the SwitchCo Projects team are overseeing the finishing touches on the warehouse improvements prior to handover, and works are already underway on constructing the last remaining Toll Tasmania warehouse in Port Melbourne. We are looking forward to successfully closing out the project in the coming months, allowing Toll to ramp up operations towards the Christmas period. Toll Group Toll Shipping

09.01.2022 Did you know that every 10 years, it is a compliance requirement to inspect and test LPG vessels? VIVA Energy Australia have entrusted SwitchCo Projects with this critical inspection on their key assets. SwitchCo Projects are managing the program of works including the strategic planning, contractor management and health and safety. Our dangerous goods consultants and field supervisors are also ensuring that the works are compliant, safe and to the standard expected by our client. Have a look at the great work conducted by our team of contractors. With replacement of all new stainless steel valves and fittings, a fresh cost of paint and cathodic’s checked, the systems are ready for their next 10 years of service.

08.01.2022 SwitchCo Projects continues to oversee the Toll Shipping Terminal Upgrades at Webb Dock. All hands on deck for post tension slab pour number 5! The principal contractor Civilex have poured a total of 12,100 m of post tensioned concrete slabs to date. With 2 more pours scheduled for September, this number will rise to 18,790 m2 for the Toll Shipping site at Webb Dock.

08.01.2022 The Toll Group Shipping terminal upgrade in Port Melbourne is approaching the finish line, a full 3 weeks ahead of schedule! The terminal is set to be completed in late November, with Toll already occupying sections of the completed terminal. Great work by everyone involved, from everyone at Toll to the Principal Contractor on-site (Civilex Victoria) and all of their subbies. Looking forward to a successful remainder of the year!

07.01.2022 The construction and commissioning of this 7.5MW solar farm at Robinvale VIC is now complete. The SwitchCo Projects team have been supporting Suntech Power Development Australia in an Owners Engineer capacity over the past 7 months. Having reviewed the design, the SwitchCo Projects team have been busy checking the contractors installation and witnessing the testing and commissioning of the key system equipment. Congratulations to both Suntech Power Development Australia and ACEnergy on a successful project. SwitchCo Projects has thoroughly enjoyed working with everyone involved.

06.01.2022 SwitchCo Projects are happy to announce the re-opening of CEXP Melton South! This interesting project for VIVA involved the installation of new submersible turbines, pipework, and dispensers; converting a suction system to a pressure system which is in line with modern practices. Additionally, a below-ground SPEL Puraceptor was installed to capture forecourt run-off, demonstrating VIVAs ongoing commitment to the environment.

05.01.2022 The electrical infrastructure upgrade to the Toll Shipping terminal in Burnie, TAS is fast approaching completion! SwitchCo Projects have overseen the project on behalf of Toll Group in a Project Management capacity for the last 10 months, working closely with both Toll and the D&C contractor Stubbs Constructions. With the finish line in sight, SwitchCo Projects are staying focused on delivering a high quality outcome with minimal disruptions to daily operations.

05.01.2022 SwitchCo recently completed Stage 1 of an exciting energy metering project on behalf of Telstra Energy. Working with Metropolis Metering Services and Next Generation Electrical, SwitchCo acted as Project Manager to co-ordinate the roll-out of revenue grade metering equipment onto backup generators in Telstra Exchanges in Vic and SA. This is a fantastic initiative to utilise existing infrastructure to increase energy security of the electrical grid by reducing demand during times of peak load, whilst introducing additional revenue streams for Telstra.

05.01.2022 Joining the project in September 2019, SwitchCo Projects have been engaged by the CFA to manage the environmental rehabilitation at the former Fiskville Training site. Fast approaching PC, this has been an exciting project for SwitchCo, involving the careful management of PFAS impacted water through an onsite water treatment plant and identification and containment of PFAS impacted soil within an in-situ soil management area. 05.01.2022 SwitchCo Projects have recently completed a fuel system design for a Mobil service station being built in Walloon, Queensland. Our Client, Lanskey Constructions, are building this New To Industry site for a developer as part of Mobil’s re-entry into the retail petroleum sector. As always, our design achieves the regulatory requirements and Australian Standards requirements, as well as the specific design standards of the operator. With construction now underway, SwitchCo Projects are now involved in the fuel system installation inspections to give our client peace of mind that the installed system meets the design and the manufacturers requirements.

05.01.2022 SwitchCo Projects have recently completed the fuel system design and Dangerous Goods License application for BP Innaloo in Western Australia. As part of BPs commitment to maintaining and upgrading their sites, our client Building Solutions was awarded the contract to raze and rebuild the existing service station. This fuel design completes our involvement in this site that started back in 2017 when SwitchCo Projects were involved in the concept design and subsequently obtained Development Approval for the project. We are delighted to witness the projects completion.

03.01.2022 Acting as the Client Side Project Manager for Hargreaves Property Development, SwitchCo Projects are pleased to see the construction of the brand new retail fuel site in Tottenham, Victoria, proceeding on schedule despite the difficult circumstances imposed on the building industry due to the Covid-19 virus. In a few short weeks, the once empty block has been transformed with the installation of the fuel tanks and related infrastructure, erection of the shop canopy, and pouring the forecourt concrete slabs. Were looking forward to the completion of this exciting new to industry retail fuel outlet!

02.01.2022 SwitchCo Projects has found a new base! Our new home on La Trobe Street in the CBD is a blank canvas filled with natural light, and whilst we sadly cant actually go into the city at the moment, renovation works are well underway to make this our space. We cant wait to move into our new office once the restrictions have eased. More progress photos to come!

02.01.2022 2020: What a shocker! Luckily for us we were able to transition quickly to our home offices and have been working effectively there since March, in no small reason due to the various software packages we use. Proficiency in Procore, Microsoft Teams, Teamwork, Docusign, and Kuula plus others allows us to communicate well internally, and provide reporting or direction to our clients as we need to. Here’s just a quick snapshot on some of the tools that we use. If there is anything on this list you’ve not heard of and would like to hear how we use it, please get in touch. 01.01.2022 Great news! SwitchCo Projects have partnered with 7-Eleven , reflecting the great results of previous programmes and also our strong working relationship. When given the opportunity to work with key clients such as 7-Eleven, SwitchCo Projects thrives. We provided 7-Eleven our Programme Management services by delivering their FY20 National Pump Replacement and Automatic Tank Gauge Programs. 7 sites across Victoria, New South Wales and Queensland have been upgraded with brand ...new Gallagher fuel pumps, whilst at the same time upgrading their drainage systems with SPEL Puraceptors. The final product provides 7-Elevens valued customers with increased product availability and environmental peace of mind. Adding to that, Automatic Tank Gauges have been installed into 33 sites across Victoria, New South Wales, Australian Capital Territory and Queensland, providing 7-Elevens fuel logistics team second-by-second readings of each sites fuel tanks capacity. In turn they are streamlining their fuel delivery process and guaranteeing customers their favourite products when filling their cars their car
