16.01.2022 A GUIDE TO SURFING'S SOCIAL SKILLS. The surf zone has it’s own set of rules and codes. As more and more of us are getting into surfing, it’s important that we understand and follow these rules. If you show respect and goodwill in the water you will, in turn, earn respect. *Choose the right surfing spot to match your ability. 16.01.2022 You're never too old..... ...these 3 gals in their 60's, 70's and 80's were out there having fun with the other 15 women this morning! What a great session, with challenging 3ft+ set waves and brilliant sunshine.

15.01.2022 The Dreaded Seabreeze explained... It's that time of year, when we can expect a seabreeze to kick in and ruin a good surf...within minutes. Basically, this occurs when the air over the land heats up quickly. The hot air rises, then the relatively cooler air (which is over the ocean) rushes in to take it's place. Here's a hint - early in the morning, look at the ground. If there is dew on the grass (and the sky is still clear), then an early seabreeze is almost guaranteed.

14.01.2022 Please support this great fundraising event on Saturday Feb.25th. Registration is essential and your $30 entry fee will be donated to brain cancer research. Go to this Eventbrite website to get a ticket. Hurry...places are limited.

08.01.2022 Have you been seeing these creatures on the beach, along the high tide line? They are a harmless type of jellyfish, commonly called By-the-Wind-Sailors. They float on the sea surface and move around by the wind pushing against their sail. These sails are positioned at a 45 degree angle. Some creatures have the sail going on one diagonal, whilst others are on the opposite diagonal. [ 68 more words ] http://womenwhosurf.com/2016/12/24/stingers
