06.01.2022 NBN MAINTENANCE WORKS IN SOUTH WEST ROCKS South West Rocks residents are advised that NBN will be replacing telco conduits and cables along Prince of Wales Ave...nue over the next 3 weeks, with works commencing next Monday 20 July. The works consist of path and paver removal, laying cables and conduits, then replacing the path and pavers. As such, there will be disruption to traffic along Prince of Wales Avenue during times of delivery and removal of materials. Pedestrian movement will be possible on the opposite side of the road.

06.01.2022 As you are all aware, our beloved Beachside Markets - South West Rocks are currently unable to operate due to Covid 19 restrictions and the amount of space we have. However we're still hopeful it won't be long until they are back up and running again. With this in mind we are calling for expressions of interest to all not for profit, community or sporting groups that would like to run a fundraiser BBQ for future market dates. There will be a minimal stall fee charged and then all money made is yours to put towards your group! If you would like the opportunity to be put on the roster, please email your full details to [email protected]

Should river heights continue to rise residents need to consider the impact of potential isolation. The Bureau of Meterology has issued a Severe Weather Warning at 10.48am on Tuesday 15 December stating that heavy rainfall is likely across the Mid North Coast today. Heavy rainfall is forecast to ease for the Mid North Coast overnight or early Wednesday morning. WHAT SHOULD YOU DO? NSW SES are urging people to plan their trips, drive to road conditions and to take care driving in areas with low lying causeways. People who live or work along rivers and streams should monitor the latest weather forecasts and warnings and be ready to move to higher ground should flooding develop. Residents and visitors are urged to remain cautious on the roads for localised impacts and not attempt to drive through floodwaters or cross flooded bridges.
