Responsibilities Sydney Motor Trimmers is a growing organisation and is looking for highly motivated individuals who would like to learn the art of Vehicle Trimming to join our team. The apprentice undertaking this role will learn how to make, install, repair, replace or modify the seats, upholstery, linings, interior trim, roof and door linings and floor coverings of a vehicle. Vehicles may include cars, trucks, vintage vehicles, buses, caravans, trains, aircraft and boats. As an apprentice, you will be involved in removing old coverings or fittings from vehicles, re-measuring, selecting pieces of fabric, vinyl or leather, cutting to size and sewing. Duties also include fitting of trim, seat cover manufacture and repair, refitting. Qualifications The Certificate III in Automotive and Marine Trimming Technology will teach you how to: Apply original equipment manufacturer repair procedures during vehicle repairs Fabricate automotive and marine trim components Carry out repairs and alterations to automotive and marine trim Remove and replace automotive and marine interior trim components Trim vehicle components Select trim and fabric materials Conduct sewing operations Select and apply adhesives in automotive and marine service and repair work Work effectively with others, follow safe working practices and use and maintain tools and equipment in an automotive workplace Follow environmental and sustainability best practice in an automotive workplace The Certificate III in Automotive and Marine Trimming Technology can lead to careers as a: Marine Trimming Technician Vehicle Trimmer If you are an Apprentice or looking to land an Apprenticeship in the automotive industry, the Certificate III in Automotive and Marine Trimming Technology is the course for you. 13.01.2022 Impala trim. Not quite finished but enough for now. It went out today for other things to be done on it and should return late this year for final fit up.

12.01.2022 New English Wilton carpet cut and bound with Bridge of Weir leather fitted to this classic 80's Rolls Royce.

07.01.2022 Volvo P1800. This one has had seat faces replaced as well and foam repair, we replaced all the bolts to tighten up the frames and re-strapped the base's too. New carpets hand made in house for a perfect fit. Re-colour of the headrests, rear seats and console with a new gear boot to finish it off.

05.01.2022 Lancia. Driver seat re-trim.

05.01.2022 VW Beetle. We have repaired spring base's and fitted new pads and covers supped by owner.
