25.01.2022 Hello Everyone. Our executive committee has made the decision to cancel the Northern NSW Hack Championships until 2021. This decision was made based on the cur...rent climate in regards to COVID-19 and the difficulty in trying to find a date later in the year that would not clash with other events. We are committed to ensuring that our 2021 Hack Championships will be bigger and better than ever and we are looking forward to seeing you all in the new year. At this point in time our annual All Breeds show will still go ahead. Stay Safe and well everyone during these uncertain times. See more

19.01.2022 SHC NSW Horse of the Year 2020 - proofs of all photographs I took on Friday are now online. When there is only one ring running, Amy-Sue Alston and I alternate ...photographing the presentations. This lessens the chances of anyone missing out on photos. So if you're looking for presentation images that I do not have be sure to check with Amy. 19.01.2022 KEEPING COUNTRY SHOWS ALIVE Nearly 100 country shows in NSW are ‘back in the saddle’ with the help of the NSW Government by providing funding through sponsors...hips worth $5,000 per show. Country show events are a big deal in regional communities, they give people a chance to socialise, have fun and help local businesses make sales. In the wake of drought and bushfire, communities are telling us they need these events more than ever for a chance to let their hair down and a bit of extra cash flowing through the community. This means that thousands of regional NSW competitors, champions, performers, sellers, suppliers and families will get to enjoy their annual community show. It also means champions from the regions will be able to compete at the Sydney Royal Easter Show.

19.01.2022 Grand National 2020 LIVESTREAMING 5 BIG DAYS Live streaming will be aviailable again in 2020. $25 for five amazing days of competition. Australian Equine Network will again be hosting the event for the Council.... if you cannot get there then do not miss an event

18.01.2022 Cancellation of 2020 ACT & Southern NSW Show Horse Championships After careful consideration and extensive discussions, it is with great sadness, that due to th...e current ACT Government COVID restrictions, the committee wish to advise that the 2020 ACT & Southern NSW Show Horse Championships have been cancelled. The committee had some heartfelt discussions around both moving ahead as well as cancelling the event, and having weighed up many factors including the logistics, potential changes to the restrictions and the basic uncertainty of being able to hold the event in October, we felt we had no choice but to cancel. We know that our event is a favourite for many of you and we hope you understand the decision was not made lightly. The committee are looking forward to planning for our 2021 event and we hope to see you all in Canberra next year. In the meantime, stay safe, enjoy this gorgeous spring weather and best wishes for any members that do manage to get out and compete at some of the upcoming events in the next few months.

14.01.2022 As a result of COVID-19 related social distancing requirements, we have decided to cancel the horse show and dressage day scheduled for August. We hope to hold events in October so please keep an eye on our page and website for further updates. Stay safe everyone!

07.01.2022 PRESIDENTS MESSAGE In consideration of the health and welfare of our competitors, judges and officials, please be advised that in response to the current COVI...D situation, the ACT committee have approached the Show Horse Council Executive Committee to POSTPONE our event. We are delighted that we have been approved a one off change of our date to October 30,31 & 1st November 2020. This was the only available date on the calendar for our venue, Exhibition Park In Canberra. We realise that the date is the week before Pacific Coast but we know everyone will be keen to support both events. As the situation is constantly shifting, an announcement will be made on 1 September if there are any changes and this will be based on the ACT Government regulations at the time. Reminder to be kind to each other and keep safe. Steve Benton
