23.01.2022 UK sensation Coldplay will remain a very special part of our history. The band wowed audiences with two sold-out shows at Allianz Stadium on their Mylo Xyloto tour in 2012. Fans were left amazed by the spectacle created by fireworks, lasers, creative lighting and confetti canons. Coldplay have played at SCG Trust venues five times having also played at Sydney Cricket Ground (SCG) in 2009 (Sound Relief) and returned to Allianz for two shows in 2016 with their Head Full of Dreams Tour. 14.01.2022 The Sydney Cricket and Sports Grounds and Sydney Roosters have signed a landmark partnership that will see the reigning NRL - National Rugby League premiers play home games and finals at the Allianz Sydney Football Stadium for at least the next 25 years when it opens in 2022. It is the longest hiring agreement between a stadium and club in rugby league history. The Roosters NRL and NRLW teams will be integral to the SCG precincts next chapter! 11.01.2022 SCG Trust Chairman, Mr Tony Shepherd has made a special presentation to Sydney Roosters Chairman Mr Nick Politis, of the Roosters flag which flew above Allianz Stadium in their Premiership-winning 2018 season. The flag also flew at the last NRL - National Rugby League game to be held at the venue (Prelim v Rabbitohs) which the tri-colours won before winning the grand final the following week. 04.01.2022 Another #Allianz30 moment: One of the NSW Waratahs conclusive wins was in the 2014 Super Rugby semi-final against the ACT Brumbies. They scored three exceptional tries, including Kurtley Beale securing a stolen ball, and then a great run by Will Skelton which gave Bernard Foley the space to ensure NSWs first home final.
