13.01.2022 Did you know it takes around 6 weeks to prepare brand new ropes before they can be installed into the theatres fly system? Recently our technical team prepared 22 new ropes/lines by adequately stretching them and making sure they are acclimatised to our stage. All 96 of our lines are now in perfect condition, ready to go for our next production as soon as it is safe to do so.

03.01.2022 Covid-19 Update: Following the Governments direction to mandate restrictions of static gatherings of 500 people or more, we confirm that the Sydney Lyric will remain closed to audiences until 18 April. The impact of the COVID-19 is a rapidly evolving situation. Throughout, our primary focus is to ensure the safety of our patrons, performers, crew, musicians and staff. At this stage performances scheduled from 19 April onward remain unaffected, however we are closely monitoring the situation and continuing to follow the advice of the Government. We will continue to advise of any further changes to our performance schedule as they occur, and in the event of show cancellations, all ticket holders will be refunded.
