25.01.2022 CICADAS: It's that time of year when the Cicada population is readily heard - it's the "sound of summer" here, but even as summer cools down, they are still roudy. What will you discover on your Sydney OutBack experience?

24.01.2022 WILDLIFE AND WILDERNESS: the tour group today was in for a treat with our team! Wallabies, nature and great company. Thank you for travelling and exploring with us today!

22.01.2022 TOP 3 PANORAMICS: We are sure more panoramic photos will emerge this week, but here are three of my favourites... Which one connects with you the most? Share yours if you have any from a #Sydneyoutback tour!

22.01.2022 LIFE IMPACTING: Historical discoveries and personal revelations about our place in the world are among the thoughts of young University travellers from America, who spent the day with #Sydneyoutback yesterday. From sunrise to sunset, the Sydney Outback team worked tirelessly to provide an unforgettable day in Australia.

20.01.2022 KING OF THE SKY: The Regal White-Breasted Sea Eagle is the king of the sky in Ku-ring-gai Chase National Park, where they own their territory with authority and a distinct presence - this video shows how they survey their land around their long-established nesting site. Check out our blog post for more about this magnificant bird: http://www.sydneyoutback.com.au//the-regal-white-breasted/ and join us on tour soon to see for yourself.

19.01.2022 MICRO EYES OUTBACK: Visitors, including some of our smallest guests joining out OutBacKids programming (Preschool and Primary years program), are enjoying learning about local bush foods that are in season, including bush figs and the purple-ish Riberry (Lily-Pily) - as well as the lomandra longifolia which can sustain bush survival all year around. "I found a centipede, can you eat that too?" What do you think? Post your comments below:

17.01.2022 SHINING DAY: Another beautiful tour and cruise in #SydneyOutBack and an easy going group to share it with, keen to explore the waterways and landscape just 45 minutes north of Sydney. Thanks for choosing our tour while in Sydney and - in chorus - "Happy Birthday, Dear Cat..."

16.01.2022 THE GLOSSY BLACK COCKATOO is Australia’s smallest black cockatoos; but don't let its size deceive you - these kids can be R-O-W-D-Y... however, they are usually seen in pairs, feeding. We know that spotting the Glossy Black Cockatoo is a special sight in Sydney's OutBack at Ku-ring-gai Chase where it is under threat of local extinction; its habitat in the Park is protected. Then we saw this on a Sydney OutBack tour: so, we took a video and we're throwing it to you. Is this a flock of Glossy Black Cockatoos or something else? How amazing would it be to see such a strong population established in the Park. Share your opinion in the comments below. To read more about what we've learnt about this special species so far, visit our blog at http://www.sydneyoutback.com.au//glossy-black-cockatoo-ou/

15.01.2022 THE CRUISE EXPERIENCE: We found a great video from earlier this year that shows the departure of our 2 1/2 hour cruise experience from Akuna Bay marina on a crisp, beautiful morning. It's truly a great way to begin the day and an exceptional way to experience Ku-ring-gai Chase National Park's waterways. (In the background, the cicadas are the sound you can hear, they use an organ called a "tymbal" to make their sounds and only the males have them.) The water is reflective, the sea air is invigorating and Sydney OutBack can take you there each week each Monday, Thursday, Friday and Saturday. Come join us.

13.01.2022 LITTLE EXPLORERS: What song, inspired by the autumnal Eucalyptus leaves today, caught the eye of our Sydney OutBacKIDS? Can you guess - and what comes next? (We'll tell you tomorrow...)

05.01.2022 THANK YOU for choosing #SydneyOutback today - what a stunning day to explore. So much to learn; so many questions! We hope we inspired today's intrepid travelers to learn more while in Sydney; thank you for having such an interest in the landscape and it's secrets. Enjoy the rest of your stay in Australia and beautiful Sydney. The team at Sydney Outback.

01.01.2022 WELCOME STUDIOSUS: What a wonderful day with Studiosus. We hope your Australian visit has been unforgettable. It's always fun to practice our rusty Deutsch!! Auf wiedersehen!
