14.01.2022 HOT WEATHER REMINDER Here's a few things you can organise the night before or do on a hot day to keep your pets cool if you don't have air con (Feel free t...o share any other ideas we haven't mentioned!): 1. Freeze enrichment the night before, bone broth/kibble/treats in an ice block. 2. Give your dog a really good brush prior to a hot day to remove any excess hair allowing them to better regulate their temperature. 3. Wet a towel and put it in your freezer, take it out the next day and lay it on top of their bed. 4. Frozen water bottles (great for smaller pets like guinea pigs/rabbits) or ice cubes in their water bowl. 5. Take them for a swim/play with a sprinkler/fill up the paddling pool. While you are at it, don't forget to leave an extra big, (shallow) bowl of water out for our wildlife and top up those bird baths. They will thank you for it!!!
