22.01.2022 The Department of Home Affairs has announced the new Skilled Work Regional (Provisional) subclass 491 visa. From 16 November 2019, the 491 visa will overrule the existing Skilled Regional (Provisional) subclass 489 visa. A new permanent visa pathway - Permanent Residence (Skilled Regional) subclass 191 visa - will come into effect from November 2022.... Holders of the new provisional visas will also be unable to apply for most other skills-based visas in Australia unless they have completed at least three years in a designated regional area unless exceptional circumstances exist. Additionally, similar to current arrangements for the subclass 457 and 482 visa program, holders of the new provisional visas can be negatively impacted by sponsor non-compliance. The 491 visa is a skilled and a point tested visa . It has a 45 year age limit and requires a positive skills assessment. You must show earnings of at least $53,900 per annum for three years. 03.01.2022 Breaking good news! More than 1000 invitations released in the October round! EOI points for many occupations dropped back to 80! Let’s have a look at the results for the 11th October invitation round for popular occupations. The number of invitations released in the October round is greater than the number of 3 previous rounds combined! It is estimated that there were around 2000 invitations sent out! However, this is to be confirmed by the Immigration department at the end ...of the month. Before, when EOI was 70, if you get 65 in PTE, you are set for an invitation. But as the EOI increased to 75, getting 79+ in PTE became a must. Then it increased to 80, CCL became a must too. And before you know it has increased to 85, 90. Now that EOI has gone down, don’t hesitate! Prepare for PTE now to maximize your EOI before it’s too late!
