Unfortunately we are currently experiencing IT issues which are affecting the entry system for our competitions. We are working to have this fixed as soon as possible and will advise as soon as the system is back up and running. Apologies for any inconvenience.

07.01.2022 OFFICIAL UPDATE: Due to increased public concern, to protect the health of stakeholders and visitors, and in response to the Prime Minister and COAG’s directio...n that any organised mass gathering over 500 people should be cancelled, the 2020 Sydney Royal Easter Show is cancelled. It is distressing and disappointing to cancel the Show for 2020. There are many people who will be very upset by this decision, and this is the first time the Sydney Royal Easter Show has been cancelled because of a public health emergency since the Spanish Flu pandemic in 1919. The safety and well-being of our patrons and visitors is paramount and out of precaution, and in consultation with NSW Health, The Royal Agricultural Society of NSW has decided this is the best course of action. We appreciate that the cancellation of the Show is a huge disappointment for our Show community, particularly exhibitors and visitors from rural and regional NSW who love attending the Show to catch up with friends and celebrate with us every year. We are implementing a number of measures to deal with ticket and entry fee refunds and will be in contact with ticket holders and exhibitors regarding this process within the next five working days. You will find regular updates on the Sydney Royal Easter Show website: https://fal.cn/373Pa We appreciate your understanding and patience as our team works through the logistics and issues that come with cancelling an event of the scale and complexity of the Sydney Royal Easter Show.

07.01.2022 We advise that Dr John Reeve-Newson has had to withdraw from his judging assignment at the Sydney Royal this year for personal reasons. We will be making an announcement in the coming days regarding his replacement once all approvals have been gained.

06.01.2022 CHANGE OF JUDGE 2020 ADVANCE SYDNEY ROYAL DOG SHOW Unfortunately Mr Ricardo Torre-Simoes (Brazil) is unable to attend. We welcome in his place, judging for the first time in Australia, Mr Celso Pinto from Brazil, pending ANKC approval.... Celso is a very experienced FCI All Breeds judge, attaining that status in 2003. He has bred German Shepherds since 1972, and in conjunction with his wife Yorkshire Terriers since 1992. Celso will be judging Toy Breeds (Affenpinscher, Italian Greyhound, Miniature Pinscher & Pomeranian), Gundog Breeds (English Springer Spaniel & Golden Retriever) Hound Group (less all Dachshunds) & Hound Group Specials, Working Breeds (German Shepherd Dog & German Shepherd Dog (LSC)), Utility Breeds (Alaskan Malamute & Siberian Husky) as well as Puppy in Show. Dr John Reeve-Newson will now judge Best in Show.

01.01.2022 The Sydney Royal Dog Section will be closed over the Christmas Period from Saturday 21 December 2019 and will re-open on Thursday 2 January 2020. We wish everyone a very Merry Christmas and Happy New Year. I would also like to take this opportunity to welcome Hannah Romero, who will be Coordinating the section whilst I am on Maternity leave.
