25.01.2022 COLD AND FLU MEDICINES - ALWAYS CHECK THE INGREDIENTS This winter many of us will take medicines to self-treat our cold and flu symptoms. A reminder to always c...heck the ingredients of Cold and Flu products as most contain more than one ingredient and can interact with other medications we regularly take. People taking blood pressure tablets and certain antidepressants need to be extra careful. Many products also contain paracetamol or ibuprofen so take care not to double up and never take more than the recommended daily dose of any medicine. Cough mixtures often contain the same or similar ingredients to those found in Cold and Flu tablets and many combinations are best avoided.
