25.01.2022 I am calling you God says to you. You are important to me. I love you. I am counting on you. Joy is born from that! The joy of the moment in which Jesus looked at me. Understanding and hearing this is the secret of our joy. (Pope Francis a letter to Consecrated Men and Women 2014) St. Mary of the Cross MacKillop believed and lived this joy in her own life and invites us to do the same.

18.01.2022 Baptism a hidden path to vocations discernment

18.01.2022 N A T I O N A L V O C A T I O N S A W A R E N E S S W E E K 2 0 2 0 As Catholics, we believe that God has a plan for our lives. He calls some to marriage, some to the priesthood, and others to consecrated life or to live as generous single people. During this week, you are invited to pray about how God is calling you to live your own vocation more deeply. We pray for more and generous vocations to the priesthood and consecrated life for the Church in Australia. ... We all have a vocation. The word vocation comes from the Latin vocare, which in English means to call. God calls each one of us to holiness. Being called to holiness means being called to love God and others. Someones specific vocation is the particular path or the unique specific way that he or she is called to follow Christ, to be more like him, but with their own personality, and characteristics, their gifts, talents, weaknesses and circumstances. Following Gods call is not about becoming someone that we are not, but about become more fully the ones He created us to be. How am I called to love others, making Gods love present in the world?

18.01.2022 The voice of Jesus is unique! If we learn to distinguish it, He guides us on the path of life, Pope Francis tells us. How do we learn to recognise the voice of Jesus calling to us?

08.01.2022 Check out this very useful resource from Vocations Melbourne! Discernment Straight up is an open and frank discussion about the how to discern a Diocesan Priesthood, and how every young Catholic Man should spend some time seriously discerning a vocation to the Priesthood.

07.01.2022 There's no better way to pray than to put oneself, like Mary, in an attitude of openness, with a heart open to God. 'Lord, whatever You want, whenever You want and however You want.' In other words, with a heart open to God's will, and God always answers. Prayer knows how to calm restlessness. We are restless. We want things to be ready even before we ask for themimmediately, nowbut life doesn't work that way. This restlessness is harmful to us, and prayer knows how to calm restlessness and transform it into availability. #WatchNow

07.01.2022 Our vocation is a call to love others. Therefore, to paraphrase St John Mary Vianney: a man is not a priest for himself he is a priest for others. Just as Jesus called and appointed men to follow Him as His apostles, God calls men today to lay down their lives so that others may have life. The priesthood is not a career, it is way of being. It is a life of sacrifice and service because it is the life of our Lord.
