24.01.2022 At the Sympact office, we have a mix of Apple and Android users. However even the token Apple fanboy in the office thinks this is a bit rough: "If the phone is damaged and a non-Apple repairer replaces the button, a subsequent update of the operating system detects a non-standard component and shuts down the device. There is no known way of bringing it back to life." Whilst we get the security issue, the fact that there is no redemption is just bad policy.

Firstly, this shows the importance of backups, but more importantly it shows that the best anti-virus system is you! 12.01.2022 A hacker has released 117 million LinkedIn usernames and passwords. LinkedIn has 433 million users, so thats over a quarter of users. There is also some speculation that this isnt from the 2012 hack, and rather from a new breach. You may think your LinkedIn account isnt very valuable, but what these people count on is that youve used the same password for your internet banking, email or Facebook accounts. So, change all your passwords to your services that are of value to you just to be sure.
