24.01.2022 I have been given the green light to let everyone know the TAC instagram page is up and running thanks to Luke and Olivia! Head over and check it out. I've been informed that content will probably be slow in the off season (not much to report) but once we fire up again in March, there will be a lot more to share. They plan to upload live videos and results from events at competitions and play an active role in club days with the younger athlete's. Great to see some fresh ideas for next year.

22.01.2022 Day 2 - Afternoon Session - 3rd Oct The afternoon session saw more action on the track & field. Spectators lined the fence to watch the 100m & 400m finals! With hot conditions and a strong crosswind, athlete's had to dig deep on the track. The wind also made it tricky for throwers on the field but our athlete's are tough and finished the day with some fantastic results. See below.... If anyone has any photos too share, feel free to do so below. 22.01.2022 For anyone travelling to Brisbane next weekend for the boys all schools and the weekend after for the girls all schools, you need to register to attend either or both days. No registration means no entry. They have said no excuses.

21.01.2022 Congratulations to all our athletes who competed at the LAQ Regionals in Innisfail today. It was super hot so everyone did extremely well I did the best to get some pics but my phone camera is not great. I didn't get everyone but it was great to see the blue and yellow out in force and thank you to Cassowary Coast Athletics for hosting such a great carnival. Please post any pics you have from today! We would love to see them

21.01.2022 Our last post for the weekend is by far the most important one and that is to acknowledge the glue that keeps clubs running and carnivals like the one on the weekend able to go ahead and that is the Officials and Volunteers! Every club has their own special glue and you get to know who they are very quickly because they are present at every club day and pop up at most comps throughout the year. Now our club is very lucky because we have a lot of glue but the stickiest of all... is Penny Goulter and Andrew Ford. They are the first to arrive every Sunday and the last to leave. Penny just spent all weekend officiating and when Andrew wasn't competing he was back at events helping out as well. I have not met 2 people more dedicated to a club and they just love seeing athletes reach their full potential. Whether it's Penny using her magic to get kids jumping further than they ever have in LJ or Andrew running around the track encouraging the younger athletes, they are there each week solely for the kids. A big thank you to ALL our volunteers because without you we couldn't have continued like we did this year. Thank you xx From TAC See more

20.01.2022 Congratulations to Luke McLellan who competed down at the QLD All Schools on the weekend. He placed 3rd in the 200m (pb and club record), 4th in the 100m (pb and club record) and 8th in the 400m. Well done to all of the boys who competed on the weekend and thank you to Queensland Athletics for putting on such a well run competition!! We wish the girls all the best for next weekend.

20.01.2022 Running a successful Pentathlon this year, despite all the challenges everyone had to face leading up to it, was by far our proudest moment! It rained and we had all the Covid safety regulations to adhere to but we got stuck in and got it done. You guys rock!! And so do all the clubs who supported us by sending officials and athletes, making the day so much more rewarding

20.01.2022 Multi Event Results! Carter Stacey finished her U18 Heptathlon campaign with a final score of 3484 points which is a pb of 250 points!! A cracker 27.77s in the 200m (pb), 4.60m in the Long Jump and a matched pb in the Jav saw her smash her previous Heptathlon score. Well done Carter!! Andrew Millerd is no stranger to the Decath and he didn't disappoint this year either. With a total point score of 5861, he wasn't far off his best from Oceania last year. With a Shotput PB and strong performances over his other events, he secured 1st place in his age category. Well done Andrew! I know all of us parents are constantly in awe of your achievements.

20.01.2022 ANQ Champs - Day 1 - Friday 2nd Oct Day 1 saw the start of the Women's Heptathlon & Men's Decathlon featuring Carter Stacey & Andrew Millerd. Results are yet to be posted but a little birdy told me Carters 200m was a pb and Andrew ran a strong 400m. Great start for both of them! Final day for the multi events tomorrow. Lots of action on the track & field as well. Well done to all the athlete's who competed today. Full results for our athlete's below.... 11.01.2022 That's a wrap!! What a beautiful day to finish on and perfect conditions for the kids to get their final pbs. We even had 4 records broken! Thank you to everyone who has helped and contributed throughout the year. We definitely couldn't have done it without the support of our club members. Good luck to those athletes competing down at the ANQ Championships next weekend. We will post the live results link this week so people can keep track

11.01.2022 Now there's a good looking bunch of humans Say hello to your committee members for 2021. If you're thinking, now they all look familiar, well that's because they are. We all enjoyed our roles so much this year we decided to stick around another 12 months Most of you know our committee and what they do but for those who don't, let me introduce them....Continue reading

10.01.2022 Congratulations to the following clubs who have been recognised for their persistence and ability to adapt in what was a very different year this year. Tableland Athletics is one of the clubs that have been acknowledged and we would like to say thank you to Athletics North Queensland for their support this year by helping us to keep our season running. Of course this would not of been possible without our parents, volunteers & committee members putting in the time to implement the changes needed to make sure we were Covid safe each week. Lets hope 2021 is kinder to our sport :-)

10.01.2022 Canteen for those travelling down to LAQ Regionals tomorrow. All bibs should have been collected by now. If you don't have yours then please let Laura know. Good luck to all our athletes and hopefully its not too hot

10.01.2022 To those travelling to Mackay for the ANQ Champs, the trip is slow due to roadworks so make sure you give yourself enough time. I would allow at least an extra hour. I am going to try and take photos of our athlete's and post results where possible. If you do not want me to do this for your child then please let me know before Friday. Safe travels! Laura.

10.01.2022 Final timetable and other info for tomorrow can be found here

It has been quite a year and not one we expected at all but our athlete's adjusted so well and we ended up having a fantastic season. Thank you to all the parents, grandparents, officials & committee members who made this year so wonderful. We now take some time off to refresh and get ready for next season. 07.01.2022 ATHLETE HIGHLIGHT This is Izzy Kefford. Today she ran over a 30 second pb in her 800m in the blistering heat!! Athletics is not always about coming 1st or what colour medal you walk away with, its about turning up to club day each week, participating in all events and giving 100% every time. This type of athlete is what TAC is all about and Izzy is a shining example of where consistency and hard work can get you. We are so proud of how far you have come this year. You are an amazing athlete Izzy and we look forward to seeing you in action next year. Well done!!

05.01.2022 Day 1 pics thanks again to ANQ
