24.01.2022 5 suckers and a dinghy! Under national vessel safety law, wooden dinghy's need to be tested for sinkability. When they eventually went down at the marina pontoon, volunteers Ross and Daryl (aka sucker 1&2) ended up in the drink, while Fred and Greg hung onto the racks until rescued. It was a bit of Friday fun and the boats passed their test in time for a well earned beer. Thanks Peter Jessep for capturing the antics!

Our tour guide Braeden was awesome the kids had a ball. My son Braydon hasn't taken his cap off since then. We wanted to commend Braeden on not only his knowledge and passion for Tacoma but being able to relate to 7 kids ranging from 3 -12 and keeping them interested the whole time. 18.01.2022 The Tacoma has been on the Boston marine slip for the last two weeks. A third of the hull refastened with about 100 four and a half inch silicon-bronze screws. A 10-year project to refasten the hull of the historic tuna fishing vessel Tacoma is nearing completion which will ensure the future of the boat for another century.

07.01.2022 Thanks to those who participated in the PLCC Annual Business Plan survey and supported Tacoma berthing options. The marina pontoon was ranked highest priority (67%) of the over 200 respondents. Council had given it the lowest ranking, so we hope they get the message!
