25.01.2022 Add the 30-second Oztent to the rear of a Tail Feather Camper to create a shelter to cook under, and an extra dining room or bedroom for the kids. All Tail Feather Camper models can be configured to suit solo campers, couples and families with children.

24.01.2022 Lightweight, Easy to tow and TOUGH!

23.01.2022 Off to the Explore Australia Expo at the Melbourne Showgrounds at the end of the week (Friday 20 to Sunday 22nd June). Taking two campers: A Tail Feather 8.0 fitted out with a dirt bike in the back, and a Tail Feather 10.0 configured as a camper. Hope to see you there!

21.01.2022 Spent Tuesday with John Willis from Camper Trailer Australia Magazine. Great weather, great company! That's John down on his hands and knees doing a thorough inspection of the Tail Feather Camper's running gear. Look out for John's review in an upcoming issue of the magazine. Will keep you posted on publication dates.

21.01.2022 This video gives a very good explanation about what causes sway when towing a caravan.

20.01.2022 Only two weeks until Easter! Have you got your Easter camping adventures planned? Here's our Top 10 Australian Camping apps post that you might find helpful :) http://traveloutbackaustralia.com/10-australian-camping-ap/

20.01.2022 Rubin and Heather have just returned from their "maiden voyage" in their 10' Tail Feather Camper. They camped at Bimbi Park which is situated within the Cape Otway National Park. They decided to book an unpowered site in order to test the efficiency of their newly fitted flexible solar panel that you can see on the camper's roof. According to Heather, "The Tail Feather was everything we hoped it would be".

18.01.2022 Good night little Tail Feather! All set up ready for the Yarrawonga Caravan and Camping Show. Travelled up to Yarrawonga this afternoon, sat on 110kmh most of the way, hardly new it was on the back of the 2.4 litre Lancer Wagon. If you're in the Yarrawonga area on Saturday or Sunday call in and say g'day.

18.01.2022 Spent today preparing the Tail Feather 10.0 for pick up next Saturday morning. The new purchasers took it for a test tow last Saturday, and couldn't believe how easy it was to tow. They said they hardly noticed it was behind their Mazda 6. At 550kg (tare), the Tail Feather Camper is the lightest hard shell, stand up camper on the Australian market. They did their homework, spending a day at the recent Caravan and Camping Show at the Melbourne Showgrounds. Nothing at the Show ...matched their simple criteria: Safe and easy to tow, no set up, and a price tag of around $20,000. Darwin, here they come! I've tested the 12 volt system to make sure that the deep cycle battery can be charged by one of four ways: 1. Via the towing the vehicle using a cable fitted with an Anderson Plug, 2. Via a solar panel using the same cable when the camper is stationery, 3. Via 240 volts using a charger, and 4. Via a generator. Happy Camping! See more

18.01.2022 The Tail Feather 12.5 has a permanent double bed in the rear, and a cafe style dinette for two at the front. The dinette converts to a generous single bed that could sleep two small children. There is a Tail Feather Camper for singles, couples, and families with children.

17.01.2022 Are your days of sleeping on the ground over? Only have a small car? The Tail Feather Camper has a ball weight of just 50kg, and can be towed by most 4-cylinder vehicles.

16.01.2022 TAIL FEATHER 8.0 ON DISPLAY AT TUNSTALL SQUARE MARKET, Tunstall Road, Doncaster East, Sunday 27 July 2014, 8:00 am to 1:00 pm. You've seen the photos, now see the Tail Feather in the flesh. Hope to see you there!

13.01.2022 Down on the Sorrento foreshore with our 12' 6 " Tail Feather Camper, tare weight only 700kg so you can tow it with most 4 cylinders. This one has a rear outside kitchen and servery that opens up to our view of Port Phillip Bay

12.01.2022 Another weekend away for Bonnie and her friends. This time to Inverleigh, 30km west of Geelong. Bonnie is now a Champion Tracker Dog!

11.01.2022 Calm before the storm. Hoping for a good turn out at the Explore Australia Expo at the Melbourne Show Grounds this weekend. We're at stand C4 opposite Cub Campers in the Caravan and Camper section of the expo. Drop by and say g'day if you're in the area.

11.01.2022 As we all know, with all their inclusions, caravans are getting heavier, and the vehicle manufacturers are struggling to keep up.

11.01.2022 The Tail Feather camper makes a great bike trailer, and will easily carry two dirt bikes. But, if your trailer is big enough, the camper can be used exclusively for sleeping and living in.

09.01.2022 My neighbour took the Tail Feather 8 camper away for a weekend of camping and doggie trials near Ballarat a couple of months ago. Looks like they had a very cosy time.

09.01.2022 Spent the early afternoon setting up camp on the Mornington Peninsula foreshore in readiness for a long weekend (Labor Day, Victoria) next weekend. Spoke to many passers-by who wanted to know what on earth the Tail Feather is!

07.01.2022 Hot off the press! Spent Saturday dismantling the camper from one trailer, and assembling it on my new 10' (3200 mm) flatbed trailer complete with SIDE DOOR, curved drawbar, storage box and under trailer water tank.

07.01.2022 The Tail Feather Camper Australia is modular, lightweight and easily towed by most 4 cylinder cars. Made out of tough rotationally moulded polyethylene, the Tai...l Feather is virtually indestructible. The pod is made in Colorado, USA, and has been tested in all weather extremes; heavy snow, torrential rain, high winds and harsh desert-like conditions. Available in kit form, the pod can be assembled on your own trailer, or you can buy an Australian made aluminium trailer from us. The pod weighs only 250 kg and includes side panels, roof sections, doors and internal furnishings. Add another 300 kg for the trailer, and you have one of the lightest hard shell camper trailers on the Australian market. Imagine no set up time when arrive at your destination. Back up the camper, pull out a rod, and throw in a line. Configure your camper to suit where you're going, and who you're going with. The rear door camper is ideal for hauling outdoor equipment such as motorbikes, quad-bikes, fishing and boating gear. Add extra panels to make your camper longer, move the windows, even move the doors to create a side door camper that feels more like a conventional caravan. The possibilities are endless, as is the fun and enjoyment you'll get from escaping in a Tail Feather Camper.

05.01.2022 Tail Feather Camper weighs about the same, but you can stand up in it

05.01.2022 Proud Tail Feather Camper owners Rubin and Heather Miller have just picked up their Tail Feather 10.0 from the Micky Booth RV warehouse in Ringwood, Victoria. They can't wait to get away and try out their new camper.

04.01.2022 The June 2014 issue of Camper Trailer Australia Magazine is out today. It contains the first comprehensive Australian review of the Tail Feather Camper. The review corresponds to the arrival of eight campers from Colorado, USA. All available for immediate pick up or delivery. Grab a copy of the mag, and read all about it.

04.01.2022 Life's a beach, and then you go FISHING! Just one of the many outdoor adventures you can do in a Tail Feather Camper.

03.01.2022 For those who wanted to know whether two bikes will fit in a Tail Feather Camper, these pictures tell the story. This Tail Feather is off to Phillip Island for this weekends Australian Superbike Championships.

02.01.2022 As far as lightness goes, nothing beats the Tail Feather!

01.01.2022 If you watched Melbourne's Nine News last night, you may have glimpsed the Tail Feather Campers in the background of one of their segments. They were there reporting on the Melbourne Retirement, Lifestyle and Travel Expo which is on again today and tomorrow at Caulfield Racecourse. Three Tail Feather Campers are on display, hope to see you there!

01.01.2022 With all their inclusions, modern caravans are getting heavier, and require a large 4WD to tow them legally and safely. For those with a small to medium SUV, there are a number of ultralite alternatives that are easy to tow, easy to manoevre, and quick to set-up. These four ultralites have a tare weight of between 400 and 500kg, so can be towed by most four-cylinder cars.
