10.01.2022 The Best Resistance Band exercises you are not doing. Volume 1 - Starting off with a simple chest exercise because even in isolation, it’s still a Monday - Introducing your standard cable chest fly with bands instead #genius -... To save your hands from all banded exercises, FatGrips can be used as an awesome handle. - You probably aren’t doing this exercise because you only have one band. Buy another! These thinner, lighter bands are cheap - about $10-$20 each and this small investment opens up a whole chapter of additional exercises you can do - Execution: keep your shoulders back - At the start of the movement when your arms are out to the side, keep your shoulders back(squeeze your shoulder blades together) - At the squeeze when arms are in front, Keep your shoulders back Think Short arms the whole time. - Short arms = More chest stimulation. More chest = More happy - Too often you will see people reaching forward on the chest fly. Don’t do that. 10.01.2022 40 PULL UPS!! January 2019, 39 year old Alex told me he had a goal of doing 40 pull ups by his 40th birthday Ok let’s see where you’re at... Struggling, he grinded out 6 pull ups (the last 2 reps you could argue didn’t even count) 12 months later, after doing 2-3 5:30am sessions a week, 9 days before his 40th birthday he did it. 40 pull ups! Making this feat even more impressive is the fact that Alex is a big (athletic) guy At 194cm’s and tipping the scales at 100kg’s, doing 40 pull ups really is an incredible effort. Alex is also a very busy man. As a father and partner at a law firm, Alex works harder than just about anyone I’ve ever met. Because of this, the only available time for our sessions was 5:30am Well done Alex, back to our usual 5:30am sessions next week! See more
