25.01.2022 Thanks for the support UnionsACT. Glad and happy to be involved in the work that supports so many Canberrans.

24.01.2022 Thank you to all the campaigners who have worked tirelessly throughout the campaign. No matter the outcome, we can hold our heads up having run an energetic campaign, reflecting our experience and values.

24.01.2022 With this, and the lads from Blighty lighting it up for the Frogs, it's Union Jack's all the way (except on our flag).

22.01.2022 I was going to do a proper update with a video and everything but there really is nothing proper to update, so here's a photo of Octavia's gumboots. I can confirm that we are within a monsoon of beautiful support and best wishes and crossed everythings from lovely people all over, there remains enough cautious optimism around to be cheerful about, Andrew Wall called me today and is a class act, that candidates are not given an inside rail on what's happening, that Libby is now practically an expert in Hare-Clark, and that going to work tomorrow with the TWG stickers still on the car (because they are expensive and will only be peeled off in case of loss) should prove awkward.

21.01.2022 An amazing result for Canberra: a sixth consecutive Labor government voted back in comfortably. It’s pleasing to see so many people living in Brindabella also b...elieve in our ongoing vision. Thank you so much to everyone involved in my campaign: from volunteers, family, and many many friends. While I may not have taken a seat, I have learned so much and glad to have had such an amazing and rewarding journey. Here’s to 2024! See more

21.01.2022 FAMOUS PETS OF TUGGERANONG Muppet is gorgeous and is from Kambah, like his owner #SarahGolledge, who is may well vote for me!

18.01.2022 FAMOUS PETS OF TUGGERANONG Dougal from Bonython relaxes in Bonython with #JaneGillespie from Bonython, who'll hopefully vote for me with the rest of Bonython.

17.01.2022 Instead of an update - still wildly "down-to-the-last-vote" close, counting expected to be finished by Saturday - how about this? Amanda and Jayne, two pod colleagues at my (current) work, are each running 110km during October to raise awareness about domestic and family violence. They are trying to raise $4000 to keep the conversation going. To support them like I have as they spend each afternoon dreading the run but doing it anyway because they "are A-type/goal focused ind...ividuals who care deeply about this issue", then please donate at the link below. Siempre, Taimus Domestic and family violence is common in Australia. It is one of the main reasons Australian women and children are made homeless. 16% of women (1.5 million) and 5.9% of men (528,800) have experienced physical violence from a partner since they were 15. More than 1 million Australian children are affected by domestic and family violence. Of the people who asked for help from specialist homelessness services due to domestic and family violence related issues, more than three out of four or 77% were female. On average, one woman per week is killed by a current or former partner.

16.01.2022 FAMOUS PETS OF TUGGERANONG Mister Grover from Gilmore keeps #LionelGeorge company as he is deciding to vote for me...

14.01.2022 FAMOUS PETS OF TUGGERANONG Sheba lives in banks with #NikkiMoore who is voting for me.* *I presume (hope).

14.01.2022 Mo from Conder - owner is a Taimus voter. Be like Mo's owner.

11.01.2022 It's a fresh new look at a brand new year, so I'll a post a few of the lovely messages we received after the election result (finally) shook out. Re-reading them brings gratitude, positivity, inspiration and motivation, which bodes well for WHAT'S NEXT?

11.01.2022 Go for Gilmore! #itsokimvotingfortaimus #Tuggeranong #Brindabella #canberra #canberralocals #taimus4tuggeranong

09.01.2022 Who I want to represent, and why I want to represent Tuggeranong.

08.01.2022 50,000 votes cast give or take, a 6.9% swing to ACT Labor in Brindabella (according to ABC Canberra) and 7 votes the difference. It is a very weird feeling that not even copious amounts of watched football has been able to wash out. So trying champagne with Libby.

08.01.2022 I love sport and still play sport (just a bit slower) in Tuggeranong (Tuggeranong United Football Club summer six-a-side comp starts on October 22!) because sport is fun and fun is good - which means this announcement from ACT Labor is really good! If elected we will allocate $17 million towards upgrades to existing sports grounds around Canberra including lighting and facilities upgrades at Kambah District Playing Fields (which were due).

05.01.2022 A Memorandum I received yesterday from the CEO of the burgeoning community group 'Tories for Taimus': "Drove down and back Yamba and Erindale Drives yesterday and to the consternation of your support group, could not see any of the Taimus signs which were there a few weeks ago. Hope this is not a matter of concern. Hang in there. T for T." I was happy to report that after some tender but necessary resucitation the Taimus signs returned to their stations this morning. ... Go Well, brave plastic soldiers.

05.01.2022 Tuggeranong people are lovely.

04.01.2022 It was a laying on of paws during the Blessing of the Animals service I had the honour of attending recently. A generous and thoughtful event that's held by Tuggeranong Uniting where local pet owners had their four legged companions blessed by the wonderful and arguably immaculate Elizabeth Raine. See all the photos here: https://www.canberratimes.com.au//socials-all-creatures-/

04.01.2022 Election Update! Last night, we all went bowling for Cesc's birthday, and after a bit of a ropey first game, Octavia and I finished the second game very strongly with 3 consecutive strikes! Also, the final ACT Election 2020 results were declared last night and our supurb T20 Team ended 82 votes short of converting an unprecedented 7% swing to Labor in Brindabella into a 3rd Labor seat. ... My hearty congratulations to Brindabella's Labor heroes Joy Burch MLA and Mick Gentleman MLA, with somewhat less hearty but nonetheless genuine applause to Nicole Lawder MLA , Mark Parton MLA and Johnathan Davis for Brindabella . I'm writing this at a junior water polo game and Common Grounds so I'll do a bit of a longer post a bit later naming names with gratitude, but our 100 lovely volunteers and nearly 100 brilliant donors pulled up trees and moved mountains all this year. Everyone says they have the best campaign team and the greatest support - I know it. Which is a very good thing to know.
