25.01.2022 For those who are keen to keep the Linear Park off leash areas there is a council meet and greet tomorrow, Saturday 14 March, at 9.30-11.30am. The meeting takes place at the top of the Hound ground (the Promenade, Highbury). There us also still time to give your feedback online to keep this area off leash

25.01.2022 Graham cannot think of a better place to socially distance than at the super dog friendly accommodation at The Beachouse at Normanville The house is modern, bright and airy with two outdoor deck areas. Many restaurants and cafes in the area now offer take-away options and the wide open expanse of beach is just a few minutes walk away! The best part is that The Beachouse at Normanville are offering 10% off accommodation for May and June bookings! All you have to do is mentio...n Take Me Too when you book https://airbnb.com/h/beachouse-at-normanville Being forced to slow down isn't a bad thing, and with a little creativity you can enjoy the extra time you'll get to spend with your pooches (Shoutout to Jewel Chenoweth Photography for the photos of her gorgeous Graham! Please check out her fb page or website www.jewelchenoweth.com if you're after any photography in the next few months)

23.01.2022 Unsettling times people... be kind and keep thinking of those more vulnerable than you *and make the most of 24/7 time with your pooches if it comes to that

18.01.2022 We’ve been a bit quiet lately, patiently waiting for SA’s amazing cafes, bars and wineries to reopen... and whilst there are still some restrictions, it’s time for us to start showing up on your timelines again and showcasing all the best dog friendly venues Adelaide has to offer There’ll be an exciting announcement in the next few days to help support our resilient hospo friends Today though, it was piranha puppy’s first birthday. He celebrated by sharing some banana &... peanut butter pupcakes (with mashed potato frosting) with Cooper For a bit of Sunday night fun- we’d love to see what you’ve done to celebrate your dog’s birthday (or gotcha day)

17.01.2022 Sadly Dogapalooza Adelaide has been postponed and will not go ahead this Sunday. This won’t be the only event cancelled or postponed in the coming month- so be prepared for some very disappointed doggos and people Please minimize non-essential contact with humans (thankfully you can still pat all the dogs!), wash your hands, get some sunshine, take vitamin c and stay hydrated to keep your immune system strong. ... Remember, the goal of these measures is to slow down the rate of infection, essentially flattening the curve, so our hospitals can keep up and help those at high risk. Stay safe and healthy everyone x

02.01.2022 Just checking in with everyone to ask #RUOK? Today is a reminder to check in on your friends, family, colleagues and neighbours. This year, in these extraordinary times, it’s more important than ever to start these conversations... Our dogs though? They do this every single day, they check in without being reminded or asked. They are simply there for us. Always. Unconditionally. ... Personally, I do not know how I would have made it through the past 12 months without Cooper... health issues mean I have spent many days in excruciating pain and he seemed to sense exactly what I needed from him, and always showed up at precisely the right moment. Three surgeries later, and we are finally starting to reclaim life. How does your dog ask #RUOK? (There’s more to the conversation after #RUOK, learn what to say when someone says they're not OK. Visit http://ruok.org.au/how-to-ask)

01.01.2022 Fantastic news! Go get your treat on at The Woofery Dog Bakery

01.01.2022 Isolation day #637 (or it sure feels like it!) New game: The Goat Horn is Lava (sound on recommended) Does anyone else’s dog have games they play by themselves? ... Although we still can’t head out to cafes and wineries with them, hopefully you’re all making the most of this extra time with your funny fuzzy friends

01.01.2022 Everyday I’m snuffling, snuffling After a few days trapped inside, I’m sure a lot of us humans are coming to a greater understanding of how important it is that we enrich our dog’s lives I recently made a snuffle mat for Cooper and he LOVES it! It engages him, keeps him busy for longer than eating out of a bowl and gets him using his nose and brain ... Added bonus for those of us working from home, it keeps #piranhapuppy quiet for a good 25 minutes, perfect time to make some phone calls or zoom sessions!! If anyone is interested, I’ll be making a few snuffle mats to sell to raise money for YP Puppy Rescue, plus keep my hands busy at night time and keep your pups happy and healthy during this time when some of their other enrichment activities might be more limited. The mats are all 62cmx62cm and are $70, with $20 per mat being donated to YP Puppy Rescue. These mats are super thick and lush and I’ll post pictures in the comments as I make them, or if you have a request, I can see if I have the fleece here (trying to avoid going to buy anything new). Happy to deliver (contact free) around North East suburbs, or they are available for (contact free) pickup in Greenwith. I’d rather not post them, but can look into options if needed Also happy to answer any questions you might have! Thanks Stay safe and be kind people, Alicia and Cooper
