17.01.2022 We would like to congratulate Harrison on his decision to enroll as a plumbing apprentice with us. Harrison is fast becoming a valuable member of our team and we are very excited that he has decided upon this path. Great work Harrison!

16.01.2022 So how did you survive the downpour of rain we had last weekend? It's a great time to check to see if you are wet season ready. Check for roof leaks and storm water problems. Are you getting ponding at points around the outside of your home? Any problems wont magically go away and the longer they are left unattended to, the more damage they will cause!

16.01.2022 Do you have an aging loved one in your life? Are you concerned about their safety at home? Here are some simple ideas to help keep them safe and comfortable in the bathroom without breaking the bank. Install grab rails in the shower and by the toilet. These will help minimise slips and falls. Install a hand held shower head. This will help people who are less flexible to reach all over their bodies.... Install a shower seat. This is a great help for the elderly and gives them somewhere to sit if they feel dizzy or tired. A seat extender for the toilet raises the seat height making it easier for those who have difficulty lowering themselves safely. Have taps with lever handles that can be turned without gripping. Non slip mats or decals are a great way to minimize the risk of slipping.

15.01.2022 BUSS(Q) were looking for "real members", & "real tradies" for a photo shoot. I recon they found one here! If you're looking for a superannuation fund to grow your nest egg, these guys are worth a look. 10 year average return in their balanced fund is 5.71% and 5 year average is 10.67% #BUSSQ #superannuation

13.01.2022 I am sure everyone was excited to receive their rates and water notices recently! Take the time to understand them. Does your water usage look correct? Now is a good time to check for water leaks. Next time you are on your way out (and no one is home) write down your water meter reading and remember to check it again when you get home. The numbers should be the same!

13.01.2022 Before and after photos of a acreage backyard makeover we coordinated recently. The spec included a pool, inground water tank, outdoor living area, landscaping, enclosing verandahs and much more. We worked with a great team and are very happy with the outcome. Keep us in mind for any ideas you have. We hold plumbing and building licenses so can look after your project from planning to completion.

12.01.2022 World Plumbing Day! Say What! Well, stop for a moment... plumbing is all about clean, accessable water and good sanitation. The World Health Organisation estimate that in the world today 1.1 billion people don't have access to a safe water supply and 2.6 billion do not live with effective sanitation. Contaminated water and poor sanitation are directly linked to the transmission of many preventable diseases such as diarrhoea, cholera, dysentry, typhoid and polio. Some 842,000 people are estimated to die each year from diarrhoea alone, many of whom are children. So here's cheers to all the plumbers around the globe!

09.01.2022 Do you know where to turn your water off? Being able to turn your water off in an emergency will reduce damage and cause you less stress! The tap to turn your water off is in the water meter box which is usually found somewhere along your street boundary, just on the verge side and more often, close to your side boundaries.

08.01.2022 We’ve certainly had plenty of rain lately! Is your stormwater runoff causing you or your neighbours problems? Items you can check include; Are your gutters clear of debris? Are your downpipes all connected to a stormwater line? Is the stormwater runoff from all your hardstand and path areas controlled and discharged to a point not to cause erosion?... Have you redirected any overland flow paths which creates a nuisance for others? Do your fences block the flow of stormwater? Many causes of stormwater problems can easily be fixed with routine maintenance and if required the construction of diversion drains or swales to collect and direct water to a sensible point of discharge.

03.01.2022 Bush Fire season is here! Are you prepared? There is a lot of information out there on preparing your home for the bush fire season, some things you can do with a plumbing influence are; Clear you gutters of leaves and twigs Have some hoses and buckets handy Have plenty of water in your tanks and check your pumps are in good condition... To have a petrol or diesel pump is a good idea in the event that the mains power fails Check roof vents and skylights are in good order and sealed well Here's a link to more information; http://www.fire.nsw.gov.au//bush/bush_fire_preparation.pdf

02.01.2022 Excess water bills because of water leaks can become a major expense to home owners. You can apply to Council for relief once every 3 year period. Although if you have a major leak within 3 years of a previous relief application you can apply for "replacement" leakage relief. Relief will only be assessed for concealed water leaks. So not water loss in sprinkler and irrigation systems, toilet & taps, water tanks, solar panels, swimming pools and water features etc. Remember to have your leak repaired by a licensed plumber so you are eligible to claim.
