24.01.2022 AFLNEB LEAGUE C19 Summary On Wednesday June 3rd, 2020 AFL North East Border convened a meeting of all affiliated Leagues to collectively discuss the COVID-19 im...pacts on the 2020 seasons. The purpose of the meeting was to ensure that leagues were fully informed of the latest information relevant to the Governments COVID-19 restriction as they apply to community football and to plan, as best as possible in a changing environment, the decision-making processes for the respective leagues. The Ovens & King Football Netball League announced that they had cancelled the 2020 football and netball season responding to the consultation and feedback from clubs during the pandemic. With the Victorian State Government indicating their next round of announcements will occur around June 22nd; any decisions on other senior leagues (OMFNL, TDFL and UMFNL) would be held over pending further information and consultation with their respective league clubs. It was acknowledged and agreed that key factors which will influence the decision making process at that time will be the health and wellbeing of the football netball community, the capacity of volunteers to manage COVID-19 hygiene obligations and importantly, lifting of restrictions to commence the season to allow 500 spectators plus participants with a projection of extended limits to enable the conduct of feasible finals series. The Upper Murray recognised that it may be feasible with less than 500 spectators. Individual Leagues and AFLNEB Umpires will now consult further ahead of and following June 22nd as it is anticipated individual announcements on the respective league seasons will be made by the end of June. Should information be available earlier which may influence the decision-making process, leagues shall be informed and act accordingly. The Albury Wodonga Junior Football League are preparing for a shortened season pending restriction levels in Victoria given that NSW can return to play as of July 1st for under 18 grades and therefore will carry forward any further decisions. The Wangaratta & District Junior Football will be considering an alternate model and framework which will be presented to the clubs prior to June 22nd having agreed in principle to not conduct a premiership season. The FFL will also reconvene to determine its season framework.

22.01.2022 TALLANGATTA SENIOR NETBALL TRIALS AND TRAINING Kelly Park, Wodonga 6pm Tuesday 4th & Thursday 6th February... Tuesday 11th & Thursday 13th February Initial trials and training will be at Kelly Park due to Tallangatta Sports Facility being the fire staging ground for the area. Once this become available trials/training on Thursdays will be at Tallangatta at 6.15pm. All players are expected to be doing their own training (gym, running, etc) now so that they are at a reasonable level of fitness when trials commence. Enquiries Gerry Mason 0412458091

19.01.2022 Tallangatta Football Netball Club Announcement 17th March 2020... Dear Committee, Members, Players, Volunteers, Supporters and Sponsors Correspondence from the AFLNEB has announced the 2020 season will be postponed until May 31st 2020, following the AFLs recommendations regarding the Coronavirus. The situation will continue to be monitored. We will continue to provide updates via our social media platforms as the situation evolves. As a result of this, there will be no training, no practice matches or games to take place, effective immediately. We understand this may cause a disruption, however we are committed to the safety of our players, club officials, volunteers, supporters and community. 18.01.2022 Tallangatta Football Club Honour Boards The football club is currently working on new honour boards covering three eras of the club - from 1945-1977 as the Tallangatta Magpies, 1978-2006 as Tallangatta Valley and from 2007-present as Tallangatta. The Black and White era has gaps and other information that needs confirming. 13.01.2022 Hopper community, On Sunday Khyle Goodman is participating in The Longest Day which is a charity golf day backed by the Cancer Council to raise much needed fun...ds for cancer research. Goody has been closely touched by this disease in the past 18 months. We have a number of footballers joining Goody in the challenge Sunday. For those not familiar with Khyle he joined the Bug House in the 2020 preseason after playing high level footy in Qld, SA and most recently in the Ovens and Murray. He plays with a lot of flair, has lethal foot skills and will be a star of our club. I’m sure he will also become a fan favourite with our female supporters after they watch him play. 09.01.2022 2021 COACHING TEAM CONFIRMED On behalf of the Tallangatta Football Netball Club, I would like to announce that Tyson Smith and his coaching team have re-signed for the 2021 season. As a Club we are proud of the committment Tyson and his team have given and look forward to working with them again.... Tyson and team are to be congratulated on their professionalism and for continuing to keep our players involved during a very disruptive 2020. 06.01.2022 Preseason update The boys have been putting in plenty of hard work since we resumed and the coaching staff have been rapt with the numbers and training standar...d. Weve had a lot of new faces at training and several ex players return which is really exciting for the group. Training will be back to normal next week after weve been out at Sandy Creek for a couple of weeks. Monday - Bonnie Doon Park, West Albury at 6 Wednesday - Back at our fortress the Bug House at 6pm. The preseason camp will be held in Corryong this year to try and support the community up there. It will be on Saturday the 8th of Feb. We have over 40 players attending and they cant wait to lend a hand. Practise matches are Jindera @ Jindera - Friday the 6th of March @ 6.30pm Henty @ Sandy Creek - Saturday the 14 of March, time TBA.

06.01.2022 A huge thank you to all involved in our recent trip to Corryong. Players, committee and volunteers alike. We had over 80 people head up and split between a num...ber of properties to help in anyway we could. A massive thank you to the extremely hospitable families who allowed us to come and lend a hand. We stayed at the beautiful Colac Colac Caravan Park & Humphreys bus charters got us to and from the Corryong Courthouse Hotel for dinner. This community has been through a lot so it was great to get up there and support them as a club. There is still plenty of work to be done so if you can spare a day, jump in the car and head up there. Corryong is open for business so please help support a community that continues to support our Football & Netball club. Tys

Jinderas ground has been made unavailable due to... the heavy rain over the past few days. The rescheduled match will start at 6.30 Monday night @ Jindera. There will be a BBQ and drinks available. Come get the first offical glance at the 2020 hoppers.

01.01.2022 Tallangatta Football Netball Club Covid-19 Update 5th April 2020... Dear Committee, Members, Players, Volunteers, Supporters and Sponsors Over the last week, I have met with Regional General Manager, Mr John ODonohue of AFLNEB via video link in regards to updated information for the 2020 season. Correspondence from that meeting remains the same. At this stage, the 2020 season will continue to be postponed until at least May 31st 2020. Decisions regarding the 2020 season will be subject to government policy that have been put in place for the Covid-19. We will continue to provide updates via our social media platforms as information evolves. I would like to take this opportunity to thank everyone for their patience and understanding during this challenging time. I would like to thank our coaching staff and playing groups across all football and netball, for abiding by the restrictions that have been imposed. I understand the challenge of training at an individual level is difficult, but I encourage you to continue training on your own to be ready for when the season returns.
