25.01.2022 Got this stunning copperhead from Nerrina last night. After an hour of trying to get her out of a very tight gap between a big brick bbq and a fence.

24.01.2022 Check out this beautiful python! Found in the laundry of a QLD home. However.. this a terrible example of how to properly catch a python. Hitting the snake on the head and then trying to force and manipulate its body into a bag much smaller then itself

23.01.2022 Check out these beauties up in QLD having a feast!

22.01.2022 Hi guys! Apologies to anybody who has tried to call me and couldn't get through. I have been in South Africa for the past month volunteering. Here are some beauties I found whilst over there

21.01.2022 Watch your step! Can you spot the snake?

21.01.2022 Gday guys! Sad news in QLD today as the harvesting of wild croc eggs has just become legalised. Meaning up to 5000 eggs taken, hatched, and killed for their skin and meat. Crocodiles and alligators would have to be one of my favourite animals (after snakes of course ). They are just fascinating and absolutely beautiful creatures that play a vital role in our wetland environments. Please do your part and sign this petition to help the Irwins save our crocs. ... https://www.australiazoo.com.au/petition/

18.01.2022 Beautiful Copperhead outside of Scarsdale today. Snake season has begun With spring days getting warmer we are starting to see more of our slithery friends. Snakes are coming out of Brumation (hibernation like state) to look for food/water and to look for a mate. ... Don't take the RISK Call a Snake catcher!

14.01.2022 Released this gorgeous Copperhead tonight. Beautiful to handle

14.01.2022 Somebody needed a midnight snack

13.01.2022 Gday guys Just a reminder that trying to catch or kill a snake is very dangerous if you are not a licensed catcher. Snakes do not chase you so there is absolutely no reason to stab or harm a snake. If it happens to be in your bedroom slowly walk out close the door and roll up a towel to place in front of the door. You only put your family and yourself in danger by trying to kill it or catch it.

12.01.2022 I've seen alot of videos of people giving water to koalas but I've never seen this before! How amazing. Although people may fear snakes they still need our help sometimes.

12.01.2022 A fun little video for the kids (and the big kids too ) to watch. Peak their interest in snakes and other cool animals! Teach them to love and respect all of our wonderful wildlife.

11.01.2022 Hide and go seek winner

09.01.2022 Copperhead Release Releasing a snake into the wild away from urban areas is my favourite thing about being a snake catcher. Admiring their absolute beauty as they slither away, knowing they will be safer and happier out there then in somebodys backyard.

08.01.2022 SNAKE BITE FIRST AID Here is a perfect demonstration of exactly how to handle a snake bite.

07.01.2022 *WARNING GRAPHIC IMAGE* So I have just watched a video that was posted from somebody in QLD who had just chopped the head off of what they thought was an Eastern Brown. Unfortunately this was just a harmless carpet python. Irregardless of what you ASSUME the snake is, you cannot just chop their heads off willy nilly. Apart from the fact it's illegal, it is also immoral and shows a lack of education and compassion towards a living creature.

06.01.2022 What a way to start the morning This beauty of a copperhead was found nicely wedged down the side of a water tank in Smythes Creek. Stay tuned later tonight for a video of it's release!

04.01.2022 Amazing skills at work there

03.01.2022 Snakes.. a cure for cancer? Make your new years resolution to respect snakes. Unfortunately I was up at the murray a few days ago and witnessed some uneducated men hacking away at a small juvenile red bellied black snake who was trying to pass by. I told them I could remove the snake and was completely ignored. My heart sank when it was confirmed dead. As a society, we do not have to love snakes, but we can at least respect their right to exist without harm and appreciate th...eir vital role in maintaining Earth’s biodiversity. Snakes are among the least popular of animals. People often perceive snakes as animals to fear and hate. This has lead to the belief that 'the only good snake is a dead snake'. Snakes usually prefer to retreat when encountered but can become defensive if threatened. Most snake bites are received by people who try to capture or kill a snake. When left alone, snakes present little or no danger to people. Snakes provide humans with free pest control not only around the house or yard, but also in the forests we recreate in or the open areas we utilize. Snakes are excellent hunters, preying on pesky invertebrates or small vertebrates such as mice, that may be destructive around the home. One of the most successful drugs derived from snake venom is captopril, an angiotensin-converting enzyme (ACE) inhibitor used to treat high blood pressure, heart failure, and kidney problems caused by diabetes. It also reduces the risk of death after a heart attack. The ACE inhibitor class of drugs is used by over 40 million people worldwide and its key ingredient comes from another Brazilian pit viper, the Bothrops jararaca. In Australia, for example, medical researcher Normand Pouliot has succeeded in lab-cloning an inhibitor from another Brazilian viper, the Bothrops alternatus, in his quest to stop metastasis in breast cancer. Without snakes we would be invaded by mice and rats and our bird life would slowly die off. It is up to us to change our perception on these misunderstood creatures and simply let them pass by and live like any other animal.

01.01.2022 Another Copperhead release. This guy was captured at the same place our Copperhead was found yesterday. Most likely a mating couple.
