09.01.2022 ONE HAPPY MAN Well known for his cheery attitude, passion for Parramatta football team and Ford motor vehicles, Dave Hatch was overwhelmed when he received an acknowledgement for his 25+ years of dedication and public relations as an employee of Tamarang Service Centre, Quirindi. Liverpool Plains Mayor, Andrew Hope was on hand to present the acknowledgement to Dave at his workplace this week. He always has a smile on his face, knows everyones name and is an integral part... of both his workplace and our community. On behalf of council and community, I would like to congratulate Dave Hatch on this achievement, said Mayor, Hope. Ray and Rhonda Daves parents - we also on hand to celebrate. He loves his work and wont have a day off for quids. He is highly regarded by his workplace and we are very grateful to Terry Beresford and the entire team for all their support. Terry has always been a huge supporter of Dave, they went to Quirindi High School together and Terry has taken him on trips to see race cars both at Bathurst and as a VIP to see Team Penske at Newcastle where they met Coulthard and McLaughlin, said Rhonda. 09.01.2022 BUSINESS AWARD WINNERS It is always a team effort at Tamarang Enterprises, and today, Terry Beresford - Service Station Manager, Will Crothers - Retail Manager and Rodney Hatch - Workshop Manager accepted the 2020 Quirindi CWA Australia Day Business Award for Tamarang Enterprises from Colleen Wills and Leah Weatherington. Tamarang Enterprises are the thrilled 2020 recipients of the Quirindi CWA Australia Day Business Award. Co-ordinated by Mrs Colleen Wills from the Quirin...di CWA, todays awards ceremony was well attended, with nearly $5,000 in grants donated to a variety of individuals as well. Mr Gordon Heath, Managing Director of Tamarang Enterprises, was delighted with the announcement. We started in 1975 as a small Quirindi engineering firm with a staff of two. Now the Enterprise operates three entities including: Tamarang Engineering, the Steel and Hardware sales office and Tamarang Service centre employing some 22 people plus work experience students in a variety of roles. Being locally owned and operated, Mr Heath continued the organisation takes pride in the fact that money spent at Tamarang Enterprises stays to employ local people and support local groups. On top of our Senior staff we provide employment opportunities for students with after School and weekend work. (35 have passed through our business over the last 10 years alone) and on behalf of the organisations I would like to thank and congratulate the staff. The organisation is also committed to giving back to the community through donations and sponsorship of sporting and community based events. Tamarang Enterprises are fortunate to have such competent, loyal, long-standing managers that are extremely community minded and dedicated to providing the best service possible for our region. This award is also a credit to all our staff that work as an incredible team to make the business what it is and Im sure will appreciate the recognition from the wider community for their efforts. 05.01.2022 PAYING IT FORWARD Update: Greg raised $605.00 for the Westpac Rescue Helicopter Service! *** Tamworth man, Greg Rumsby won the most recent $500.00 fuel voucher giveaway competition at our Servicecentre.... Greg said he likes to spend money in locally owned businesses in smaller towns as well as the major centres to support a swathe of businesses. In an amazing gesture, Greg has decided to pay the generosity forward by auctioning out the vouchers to his friends and family members - with funds raised to be donated to the Westpac Rescue Helicopter Service. The service came to the aid of Gregs daughter in 2016 when she was involved in a workplace accident and suffered some serious head injuries. The chopper flew a Head and Neck trauma doctor to meet an on -route Ambulance, then air-lifted her to John Hunter Hospital. Since then, she has completed a tertiary education and runs her own small business, said Greg, who believes small business forms the foundations of many local communities, employing local people, helping families and townships to survive. In turn, people then reinvest in local businesses and services. Services like the WRHS which is community funded, so nobody has to pay to be assisted. Greg added it was Tamarang Servicecentres generous prize of $500 in fuel vouchers that provided an opportunity for my family to pay it forward for the life-saving care the chopper and its crew gave to our daughter in her time of need. Manger of our Servicecentre, Terry Beresford said it was an amazing gesture. We run the giveaway to say thank you to our customers - and to hear the vouchers being used to support such a good cause is inspiring, said Terry. What a way to pay it forward!
