24.01.2022 Today I heard on the ABC that 60% of Australians are classified as overweight or obese and that by 2025 that figure is expected to rise to 80%. This information is frightening. As you may be aware, I am very passionate about my health and of those around me and I love helping others to achieve their health goals. I have access to a proven weight loss/optimal health program and what I believe for me, has been a "game changer" in my life. 12.01.2022 An important message in light of the Prime Minister's directives as of midnight today the 25th of March 2020 All non-essential contact services of more than 30 minutes is to cease. Unfortunately, it is impossible for me to assess, treat, reassess, record and reschedule any appointments within 30 minutes. In addition, as many of you know I am "high risk" and therefore it is with a heavy heart that I advise that I must close my business until further notice.... However, please be rest assured that as soon as I am able to operate again appointments will resume as per usual. I apologise for any inconvenience this will cause, but totally understand the necessity and will abide by all rules. 06.01.2022 This morning an issue arose which saddened me greatly. I had to turn a client away. I totally understand and appreciate everyone is entitled to their beliefs and opinions in relation to whether Covid is true or a conspiracy, and whether they wish to believe and adhere to the Queensland rules, regulations and restrictions. However I would like to clarify the position I ,as a business owner and especially the type of business I am in, will always adhere to the rules, includi...ng taking client's temperature and obtaining confirmation that my clients have not been in areas that are now declared hotspots or potential hotspots. I do not mean to offend anyone, nor do I wish to do anything unlawful. If you feel strongly with regards temperature checking and completing Covid checklists, and you have an appointment booked, would you kindly contact me so we may reschedule to a later date. 02.01.2022 Are you across the changes to Private Health Insurance as of 1 April 2019? Today I received notification from Bupa in regards to these changes. As you may be aware the Australian Government announced a wide-ranging package of Reforms to private health insurance. As part of these Reforms, Rules have been introduced to remove natural therapies from the definition of general treatment under section 121-10 of the Private Health Insurance Act 2007.... It is my understanding that Remedial Massage IS NOT affected, but please check with your Health Fund as to what is and is no longer claimable.
