25.01.2022 How well do you know your local Rotary Club? Many would say, the best part of any Rotary club is it's people. Stay tuned to future posts for some fun facts (and fibs ) about our club members. Don't forget to like and follow our page for more!
25.01.2022 Marina here. Thought I'd share with you our weekend over at Southwest Rocks with Janni and Gaia (Sunrise exchange student). We went via Port first, stopping at Apsley Falls. There was a lot of relaxing about the place, swimming and walking. Checked out Trial Bay Goal, Smokey Cape Lighthouse and walked the 0.8km track there. Worth it but slightly exhausting coming back up the hill! The water was amazing temperature and they had a really great time even though conference wasn'...t on and they couldn't see the other exchange students. We returned home via Coffs and stopped to say goodbye to an exchange student returning home (social distancing and elbow bumps used). The girls are not really able to return home at present, especially Gaia. Quite a lot of our conversations revolved around what is happening at home. Lines are for hours on end as one person enters the supermarket. Parents are working from home, school is all online. We hope their families stay safe and it all ends soon. We learnt how different each country is to apply through Rotary, some have interviews with clubs depending on how many people apply, the costs involved - medicals, blazers, badges, who does or doesn't pay for their flights and so on. It's really amazing how different the process can be. The girls are very competitive when it comes to games. Don't play Bluff (Facebook appropriate name) with Janni. She's very sneaky Enjoy some of our photos. We hope you all stay well.

07.01.2022 Congratulations to Richard for being awarded the Steve Burrows Award, for Club person of the year, for the 2019-20 Rotary year. Rich was instrumental in his role as our membership director, but rolled up the sleeves when it came time to adapt and overcome with the delivery of our online meeting model via Zoom. His fast-paced incurable wit brought a real highlight to the administration of these meetings. Please join me in congratulating Richard with a chorus of "Can you hear me Rich?", "Is this thing on?", and *inaudible screeches* etc...
