24.01.2022 I first used Tan & Tan Lawyers for my wife's immigration to Australia as Mr Tan is a registered migration agent, as I was not familiar with all the complicated processes for such an important life event. I recently read in the papers about the homeless being asked to move from the entrance of David Jones every morning in Perth. The homeless problem continues and actually is growing. That is why I have committed to taking part again this year for the 10th year. The most heartwarming feeling is knowing friends and clients who have supported me all these years continue to support me and the CEO Sleepout. Send us by email, a copy of the document to be notarised. 2. We will prepare the notarial certificate and put my notary seal on the document. 3. 11.01.2022 Thanks from your homeless lawyer Dear friends and supporters I am deeply humbled that all my friends and supporters have helped me survive a cold night last Thursday as I slept out as a homeless lawyer for the 11th year.... I did sleep in my alfresco but it was still cold and luckily it did not rain. While sleeping out, your mind starts to wander about what it is really like to be homeless for a long period of time. I only slept out 1 night. Pierre Yang, my legal protégé who is now a member of parliament did the sleepout too and he slept in his car. He is tougher than me and younger. Thanks to all your generosity, I raised $22,000 and was ranked 4th in WA out of 85 CEOs and 25th in Australia out of 1555 CEOs. We raised $5.5M in Aus and $476,961 in WA. That is a lot of good that Vinnies can use to help the homeless. A special thanks to Frank Liang from Emma Seafood who has been my biggest sponsor each year for 11 years. This is especially significant as I know Covid 19 is also affecting him and more importantly many of my supporters. 10.01.2022 Vinnies are great at helping the homeless Dear friends Thank you to all who have dug into their pockets for the homeless during these pandemic days despite all the economic turmoil we are all facing.... I was taking a walk in the city last week to get my daily 10,000 steps. I walked past a Turkish bread shop and a homeless person who was lying near the shop. I decided to buy him a pide as he looked hungry. When I tried to give him the pide, he said he did not want it !!!. Maybe he was a vegetarian? So there I was in the city holding a pide and trying to see if I can give it to some homeless person. It was not easy as some of them are sleeping on the street and you cannot just throw the pide next to them. Others are suspicious of a stranger giving them food. So, I ended up walking back to my office holding a pide and looking strange. I ended up having the pide for my lunch the next day. Which brings me to the good work done by Vinnies. They have dug deep into the grassroots of the homeless in WA. They know how to help the homeless and I am trying my best to support them. I will be sleeping in my backyard alfresco with a sleeping bed just like a homeless person for the 11th year....
