22.01.2022 MINISTERIAL INTERVENTION SUCCESS STORIES Over the past years, our team at T & N Migration Services have successfully obtained Permanent visas and Substituted Visitor visas for many of our clients. Success story 1... I met a lady (Tongan national) at the Department of Immigration (Sydney) in 2012 through clients. She arrived in 2008 as a holder of a Visitor visa with a 'No Further Stay' visa condition attached to her visa. She met and married an Australian Permanent resident. She had previously paid an unregistered Migration Agent (in Sydney) to assist with her visa application. The unregistered Agent lodged a Protection visa application which was refused by the Department, Affirmed by the Tribunal and when we first met, her Ministerial Intervention request was still processing. Fast forward to 2019 (October) she became a Permanent Resident of Australia. Congratulations.

21.01.2022 Australia's domestic spy agency ASIO has denied slowing down visa processing for some asylum seekers, but says they were a "lower priority".

21.01.2022 Success story 4 A couple (married after arriving in Australia) were unlawful in Australia for more than 25 years. They were granted Substituted Visitor visas by the Minister for Immigration (after being referred by the Merits Review Tribunal (MRT) now Administrative Appeals Tribunal (AAT) in 2017. They are currently awaiting a decision on their permanent visa application. It was all due to T & N Migration Services team successfully getting the MRT to refer their case to the Minister and hard work when their case was with the Minister. Congratulations.

20.01.2022 Another successful appeal at the Administrative Appeals Tribunal (AAT) for a case from 2016. Clients are extremely happy. A Job Well Done

11.01.2022 Success story 3 An Indonesian family had their student visas cancelled in 2014. We lodged a request to the Minister for Immigration to exercise his powers of discretion. They were granted with Substituted Visitors visas in 2017 by the Minister for Immigration and Border Protection (known at the time).
