19.01.2022 Please find below a photo and some info about one of our storytellers who will be storytelling on the night! Emme -... Emme Krystelle thought she knew how her life would unfold, but to her surprise life had many other plans. Emme has cuddled cheetahs and walked with lions in Zambia, clowned in Syria, volunteered for a year in Pakistan, ridden for a day with the Hells Angels and other bikers from Sydney, climbed smoking volcanoes in New Zealand, been rescued from a yacht during a subtropical storm in the Tasman sea, and been a catalyst for creating a culture of playful kindness in a Cambodian village school. These and a million other unexpected experiences around the planet have made her life full of surprises and delight with a memory overflowing with stories to tell.

11.01.2022 Even though we have been made to delay our storytelling, we are still employing young people to learn about the entertainment industry and administration skills that go with that. The following pages give you a bit of background information about our two star workers Charlotte and Breanna:

04.01.2022 Gabrielle is the coordinator of Tangerine Elephant Storytelling. Tangerine Elephant Storytelling is a program of Eagle Arts Inc, a youth employment program. We train young people in designing posters, admin, and the entertainment arts. Gabrielle is a qualified teacher and was the principal of Eagle Arts and Vocational College, an alternative school, until the liberal state government closed it at the end of 2018. She trained at Newcastle University and was told by her lecture...rs that she was too way out to ever fit into a mainstream school. Gabrielle tells stories about young people who are outside the box and who have a lot to offer the world but have been treated unfairly and even cruely by their local schools. Her stories are funny, as well as insightful and her goal is to tip the entire education system on its head. See Gabrielle at 7:30pm at THE PLAYHOUSE located inside Newcastle Civic Theatre. Saturday 12th Septemember.
