23.01.2022 Who says elephants can’t fly? Continuing with our busy dance season our team had the pleasure of not only installing and designing lightning for Pointe2Pointe recent show Dumbo, but also a rigging system capable of flying dumbo during the show led by our Advanced rigger.

22.01.2022 What a month we have had! First up an absolute pleasure to host Legs Dance Studio with us for their 30 years celebration! The lighting and visuals were installed and designed by the team at Erindale which consisted of a central LED screen for effects as well as a array of lighting to create the vision the client was after. As always a pleasure to have Sidestage Production Services, Fireworks Australia and Eclipse Lighting and Sound supply us the equipment required.

10.01.2022 We had the pleasure of hosting ACT Pole Championships over the weekend. This included a structure to support the poles used during the competition. The structure comprised of a ten meter wide truss system braced by five hundred kilo concrete blocks on each corner. This ensured the structure could take the demand of the dancers on the day. This build was led by Jack our Technical Manager, do not hesitate to contact him if you have any particular technical requirements in mind.

This included modifying the fly tower, curtains and lighting bars to suit the clients requiriments. Works continue today with Eclipse Lighting and Sound who are busily working bringing the first lot of lighting production into the venue. ... Erindale implemented full lighting design which was led and operated by Alexander and stage design and rigging by Jack. This complimented the clients requirements and vision beautifully. ... The rig consisted of comprehensive lighting package, LED video screen and Orbifly Kinetic Balls. 03.01.2022 OUT WITH THE OLD IN WITH THE NEW! Previously having 4 speakers throughout our green room and dressing rooms for audio and stage call relay, audio quality and clarity was very poor. We have invested into a total of 13 brand new JBL Ceiling speakers as well as a Shure condenser microphone for stage manager calls, to tie everything together we also have purchased a Bosh Amp with zone controls.... This system will allow us to have clear audio through our back of house change rooms and now workshop spaces.

On behalf of the committee we would like to acknowledge and thank the dedication, hard work and overall commitment of all stakeholders involved especially the artistic team, cast, crew, orchestra and the production team. During this State of Emergency, we hope that all our members and patrons stay safe. We look forward to seeing you across the Canberra Theatre community soon.
