24.01.2022 At last, after waiting a few years, my Hoya macgillivrayi or 'Big Mac' is flowering. Each bloom is larger than a 50 cent coin and is beautifully fragrant at night

24.01.2022 On Monday morning my father, Mark Gruner, passed away. He was 91 years old and slipped away peacefully. I'm so very grateful to have had this happy, kind, gentle, generous, mischievous, chivalrous, charming, cooky, unique individual as my Dad. I'm comforted and blessed by all of the wonderful childhood memories: spending every weekend at our favourite place, Nielsen Park Beach (Sydney), our love for rummaging through market stalls, garage sales and fetes, sharing yummy food at various restaurants and cafes, our secret code language...... In later years I experienced a renewed joy when I saw him doing all of those fun things with his grandson, Mitchell. I thought I'd share with you one of the best photos of Dad where he is blissfully surrounded by his Viennese puppets.
