21.01.2022 Our winning scarecrow for the St Helens Thrive Community Garden Open Day Scarecrow Competition.Thank you to everyone who voted for her. Scary Mary is her name....she has a nose ring, bracelets boots, a bunch of tomatoes and is ready for action! Thank you to Cindy, our incredible Free2b artist whose inspiration never ceases, the girls for all their input, ideas and decorative touches, Richard for assisting Mary with her structural integrity and transportation issues and the Thrive Community garden crew for such an amazing event yesterday. We LOVE the Community Garden and everything it offers to St Helens....fresh food, a chance to connect, work together, create, build, get dirty hands...and THRIVE!

Thanks to Cindy our Free2b artist, Minty our Free2b Minty(!) , all the incredible gir...ls who helped out at Sunday’s Arts Market and everyone who supported our Free2be- ness on the day! Once again, we had way too much fun and made way too much mess - glitter, paint, glue and giggles ... some cartwheels and jokes amongst it all too! See more

09.01.2022 Free2b Girls groups will be starting again soon (yay!!) and there's training days coming up for women interested in volunteering their time 2 hrs a week to help run the program in Longford, Campbell Town and Youngtown. Training dates are : Longford and Campbell Town - Tuesday Feb 2nd 1-4pm ... Youngtown - Tuesday 9th Feb 10-4pm The Free2b training is fun, engaging, chaotic, sensible, inspiring and full of ideas and tools to assist you to safely run a group for teenage and pre teen girls in a way that enables Freedom, Choice and Creativity ...both for you and the girls who come along! wwvp cards are essential along with an open mind, sense of humour and excitement about supporting the next generation of women... 08.01.2022 Big thank you to the Break O Day council, Sunshine Association and a private donor for helping Free2b Girls get outta town and go on Camp! Thanks Nat from Camps Tasmania for running incredible camps....the ripple effects from the skills learnt and the experiences had are huge for the girls and the community!

Many thanks to West Tamar Council for sponsoring the girls, Sharni and Hannah for being amazing facilitators and Beaconsfield Neighbourhood House for running the Free2b Girls Program - so exciting to watch it grow and become part of the local community!

04.01.2022 Colour, patterns, friends, fun....and Helene from Tassie Tie Dye to help us create amazing things! A free workshop for girls age 10-16 in BOD area. Must book in before Wed 5th August as places are limited!!

01.01.2022 Too much Tie Dye fun @ St Helens Free2b Girls! Helene from Tassie Tie Dye brought along some of her amazing creations to inspire us and we practiced on t - shirts and pillow cases. The girls took their t-shirts home, but we're selling the beautiful pillow cases for if you want to have colourful dreams! xx Helene's leggings and shirts are also for sale at Tassie tie dye! Thanks for a great afternoon - we'll definitely do it again!
