12.01.2022 December Update - Great news is that Tantitha Rise will be open for Traffic by the 20th of December. A lot has happened over the last few weeks, turfing has been laid, street trees planted and the majority of the driveway crossovers have been installed. The final Ashpalt for the internal roads will be laid on the 17th of December. Still plenty more to do though after Christmas though, the stone cladding has been ordered for the front entry statement, over 200m of timber fencing, Street lighting, final turfing and street trees and all the final signage. 10.01.2022 Tantitha Rise open for Traffic over the Christmas break. As of Monday afternoon (24th of Dec), the roads will be open to traffic. 03.01.2022 A few people have asked where the street name "James Henderson Way" originated from. In answer, the name James Henderson is deeply connected to the land on which Tantitha Rise now sits. He was one of the original partners (along with Alfred Taylor) who created Tanitha Station. Tantitha Station was massive landholding by todays standards and spanned the area from the month of the Burnett River, upstream to the future Oakwood, north to Gooburrum and welcome creek and to the eas...t as far as the kolan river mouth. James Henderson is also thought to have built the Tantitha Homestead which forms an integral part of the new estate.
