24.01.2022 I hope you are all staying safe in the current climate. With all the uncertainty brought upon by the Coronavirus, we have been holding our breath with regards to holding the annual Taralye Market Day this year. We want to make sure all the local businesses that operate and support us on the day as well as all our volunteers and community are safe. We have therefore decided to postpone the market day to Saturday 28th November. We will however reassess the situation again mid... August 2020 and advise you accordingly. Usually they hold an event in the office but for 2020 they held a virtual extravaganza and the results were incredible! It’s not the news that I wanted to share, but we know there are better days coming and we are focusing on that right now. Let’s hope we can have a bigger and better 2021 Taralye Market Day. 05.01.2022 Meet The Armistead Girls Peyton and Thea Armistead. They’re our fabulous Loud Shirt Day fundraising leaders. We asked their mum, Kate, why they’re getting LOUD this year and what they plan to do. Read on. " We decided to help raise funds for Loud shirt day to help raise awareness for children who are deaf. We wanted to help raise funds to provide the gift of sound and speech to children who have hearing loss. By raising awareness in our local community it was also bring...ing a sense of belonging to our two daughters who both have moderate- severe hearing loss. We have raised funds by sharing our social media posts with family and friends and have partnered up with a local baker 'Chase a Cake' to make and sell cupcake packs. $5.00 from each cupcake box sold will be donated towards our Loud Shirt Day fundraising page. We hope the funds help support a family and child in need. We are also planning to host a Loud Shirt Day celebration at home. This year it will just be with family due to Covid-19, but we know it will still be fun, bright and very very LOUD! It's not too late sign up yourself. 01.01.2022 3-year-old Georgia has accessed services at Taralye for most of her life. Her nan Jennifer has penned a heartfelt letter about their family's experience, praising the Taralye team.
