16.01.2022 Just a reminder to anyone that was planning to attend the annual dinner after the Memorial service on 27 October to make your bookings now if you have not already done so. We do not want to be handling dinner money at the service or on the night and it is only fair to the caterers to have numbers in prior. Also seating is pre arranged and we do like things to run as smoothly as possible on the night. Thank you.

15.01.2022 Hi everyone, just starting the follow up from the Memorial service and some of the attendees that purchased merchandise at the service on their credit cards did not give enough information for the transactions to go through and failed to give a contact phone number. 14.01.2022 Convoy. As a mark of respect to the eight people to be commended to the wall at the 2018 Victorian Truck Drivers' Memorial Service in Alexandra, we're inviting every truck around to join in a respectful and reverent convoy from Yarck, commencing at 12:30PM. The Yarck CFA are hosting a BBQ before the convoy so please get there early.... The convoy will head to Alexandra for a brief tour of the town, and convoy vehicles will be parked in Vickery Street, Alexandra ahead of the 2018 service commencing at 2PM in Alexandra's Rotary Park. 11.01.2022 It is with deep sadness that we report the passing of our former committee member Dennis Shean from Wagga. Dennis managed our security for many years until ill health forced his retirement. Sympathy to the family.

08.01.2022 If anyone calls in to the wall and sees that something is missing, don’t panic. We have taken the truckies monument from the front garden to be sandblasted and resurfaced.

05.01.2022 Please note that if you will be attending the Memorial service on 26 October at Tarcutta and wish to buy merchandise, there will be no credit card payments available. The reason is that at last years service some people got merchandise but their credit cards were later declined, and no contact details were given. Disappointing as we are Not for profit and all monies go into maintaining the wall. So Cash only folks.

03.01.2022 I called into the wall this morning to tidy up the garden and some of the weeds in the pavers. Like Kaye Whitbread who has her late husband Rick on the wall I was disgusted to see the rubbish, cigarette butts and worst of all, the remains of someone's toilet break. You bloody grubs, that wall is a sacred place to our industry, people have scattered their loved ones ashes there and would be horrified to see the mess it is becoming. Is it too hard to find a bin? I wheeled one ...down just in case you might use it. It did get filled up with weeds, the ones I could pull out. Anyone that has a free minute feel free to pull some grass from the pavers while you have your smoke. And you dirty grub whoever you are, there is a toilet block just up the street. See more
