12.01.2022 Hi folks. It's that time of year again. Summer is here and we all go fishing. Please remember to keep a close watch on your fishing gear - especially your hooks. Every year we have to knock out animals to remove fish hooks from various places - especially from mouths and noses. So while your fishing keep an eye on your pets and your gear and remember to tidy your gear away safely when you get home There's nothing more attractive than a smelly prawn if you're a dog or cat. Over half of the animals we see attached to fish hooks have picked them up in the garage or shed...

10.01.2022 Guess who got abandoned at Taree Veterinary Hospital today ? She is just the most lovely cat and her kittens are gorgeous. Potential carers please phone TVH tomorrow morning - 02 65 522633

08.01.2022 Mighty Snow Panda had surgery today to remove a large tumour from her side. She weighed 22g before surgery and about 15g after surgery. She was up and eating 10-15 minutes after surgery was finished. She is an absolute champion.

08.01.2022 Hi folks still having technical problems with our page so please bear with us. Beware of the hot weather - we are seeing lots of cases of heat stroke at present. Make sure your pets always have access to fresh water and shade and don't excercise them in the heat of the day.Pets who are overweight , dark in colour and who have dense/thick coats are more likely to suffer from the heat. Signs of heat stroke include panting , breathing fast , wobbliness and collapse. Unfortunatel...y if not treated as an emergency these animals can die very quickly. This green frog was brought in by a nice lady from Taree West - she found him dull and very hot on her front door step. We put him in a cool water bath and fed him cat food and next day he was well enough to be returned home to Taree West. Please ignore the writing at the end of this message - it doesn't matter what we try we cannot dilete our mis-spellings..... .
