20.01.2022 You might be aware by now that MRV Tarong Basin Coal Pty Ltd has employed Galaxy Poll to conduct a random survey of 500 residents throughout the South Burnett. This is a standard procedure of any company looking to establish a project within a particular region. Unfortunately there has been some conversation that we’ve only asked the surveyors to target the unemployed demographic of the region. This is untrue. As we are keen to better understand the wider community of the So...uth Burnett, our mandate to Galaxy was that they conduct a randomised survey that provided a balanced snapshot of the region’s demographics. As you’ll be aware by now, MRV Tarong Basin Coal Pty Ltd is keen to work with the South Burnett community and establish a mutually beneficial partnership, through such things as job growth and employment creation to help curb the unemployment rate of the region (http://www.southburnetttimes.com.au//unemployment/2583518/) As always, we welcome your feedback on these matters, and look forward to hearing from you.

02.01.2022 We have listened to the community concerns about water and our Pre-Feasibility Study identified the FGX Dry Coal Processing method to be the most suitable process to reduce water use by 95% over traditional coal washing systems; added benefit, we will not need a wet tailings dam.

02.01.2022 Community engagement update: MRV Tarong Basin Coal was exceptionally happy with our rolling meeting program taking into account Blackbutt, Wondai and Murgon last week. We have had great feedback, positive support and some very well thought-out concerns, which we are taking on board. In particular the request to consider in our rehabilitation programs, that we should be aspiring to rehabilitate to native vegetation and this same request was raised with us several weeks ago in Yarraman. We are now working to consider if we can accommodate this as opposed to our original focus of a return to grazing or cropping.
